Makoto Nagano before 1st stage run
Voice-over, narration From latter part of it
Targeting stamina gain, Nagano has been training his whole body from scratch.
Nagano: putting a weight (on my waist), 6kg.
Everyone says "Is he over?", "He's finished."
That upsets me.
Kaio (his son) has reached the age of reason.
I don't want to show him an embarrassing moment.
I want to impress him.
Nagano at the starting point of 1st stage
Kaio: Papa, ganbare! (let's go!)
After the clear of 1st stage
Kaio: Yattaa! yattaa! (You did it!)
Nagano: My son really is beginning to understand things now, so I had a strong desire to clear the stage (for him).

Never mind. Most people can't. By the way, you could still check the show if you want. You know how right? Meanwhile I'll do Takeda's part tomorrow.

Thanks for doing these translations, it's great to know what they're saying in all these interviews/voiceovers etc. My own Japanese is very basic and nowhere near the level to understand any more than the odd word in the middle of a sentence!

And the unfortunate implications roll in :C His divorce could have certainly been the result of factors outside of SASUKE. Regardless of the circumstances, I find it very sad, especially due to how the divorce system is viewed in Japan (i.e. usually the spouse initiating the divorce is no longer welcome to stay in contact with their spouse and any of their children afterwards). In many of his pre-Shin-SASUKE appearances, Takeda seemed to be portrayed as a very loving and devoted spouse/father, and I feel as if much less of the relationship with his family has been shown/mentioned since then. As fans, I know that the specific circumstances aren't any of our business, but I really hope that things between him and them didn't end on a horrible note such that he can still see and interact with them in positive ways. I'm also a bit surprised that his divorce was explicitly mentioned during the broadcast (provided the very personal nature of the matter), though that may just be part of how divorce is viewed at the public level in Japan.

Exactly... Takeda was always a loving and caring guy! What caused the relationship to drop is beyond me...

I have my own theory, but out of respect it seems in bad taste to talk about it here publicly (and, in general, anything beyond what's already been discussed about the subject).
