To arsenette-san
Is your request is what Nagono said right after Matachi cleared the 2nd stage? Theheeh no need to add the san but appreciate the gesture. First stage actually ( towards bottom part of the blog). It was a funny moment that Nagano felt he had to address the crowd and said "mina-san" (everyone) but I didn't catch the rest. It just seemed like he said something silly and was embarrassed he did it afterward.

Can't remember the moment but Nagano must have been impressed by Ryo's performance, his speed. I will do the translation. By the way, you should be a author for Sasuke.

Half the time I miss full sections of the broadcast when watching it live. Either I'm fumbling for a drink or snack, or I'm too busy chatting or tweeting and totally miss it. This one I missed as well when I started to screencap it was there. I had to put it in because even if it's something innocuous, his body language was hysterical. He normally doesn't randomly address the crowd like that so I'm sure even they were surprised. Even Takeda has a wtf look to him going "dude.. what's wrong with you?". LOL And thanks I've been thinking a lot more about that recently. Still have to iron out some issues but I am going to take a stab at writing a book. We'll see what the next year comes up with.

ANW is growing, and the whole Ninja culture is booming in the US right now. It's high time to do this if you really want that. Why not talk to the publishers? Maybe Japanese publishers too?

Also what are the all stars saying prior to stage 2?

Well my focus has been and always will be Japan's Sasuke. NOW seems a good time because ANW is doing an excellent job in retconning a lot of the Japan history even though the show is still alive and well. As for publishers for now I plan to self publish and move on from there if there is any interest. Other than an internet blog I don't have clout or money to interest anyone in a book deal. Either way after talking to a few people the hope is to be able to work in earnest to at the very least write an unofficial Sasuke history (1-30) to introduce a new audience to this show. Especially in the absence of an official DVD or television airing of the original show. I find that part more fascinating than a results chart.

But about Asean Open Cup and US vs Japan competition, I'm just hoping the next ones are coming soon for both events. (Haven't checked the entire event for the Asean Cup yet, though. ) I'll check what Sasuke All-stars said prior to the 2nd stage.

I have no idea how many Sasuke related books have been published in Japan, but I would send copies to Japanese publishers too. Japanese are always open to American things.

But about Asean Open Cup and US vs Japan competition, I'm just hoping the next ones are coming soon for both events. I heard the NEXT USA vs Japan event will actually be in Japan which I'm a bit mixed with. I'm happy Team Japan stays in their home turf BUT that also means I can't see them run... So I'm a bit unhappy and happy at the same time... But at the same time we still have about a whole year until that happens so idk if this is just speculation or not. Anyways back to SASUKE 30 With Takeda and Nagano taking their first cracks at the second stage since its redesign it makes me wonder what thoughts ran through their minds. The time lag, jet lag is a big disadvantage for the team coming to the opponent country for sure, needless to say the difference of obstacles counts too. Yes, it's good to see that team event being held in Japan too, but also yes, I kind of want to see it happen in the US again, too because it would be broadcasted for bigger audience.

I know TBS and Inui were interested (probably to make sure what I have written is correct) so we'll see. It won't be until 2015 though. My hope was to get to Japan and do interviews with the competitors so I'm hoping to be able to crowd fund that aspect of it. It's a lot of money though to travel there so I'm not too hopeful about that. I'll cross that bridge when I get there though. Working on a different project stateside first before I tackle anything abroad.

Youtube comments. I don't trust them but seriously EVERYONE is saying that! Clearly something is up... but might I digress let's just refocus on SASUKE 30 translations plz...? I am very critical of rumor spreading which is why I'm being forceful about this. "I heard" without proper context when repeated enough turns into "internet fact" and it becomes difficult to squash and can ultimately jeopardize any production of said event if they don't trust people to keep quiet about leaks. So if this was wishful thinking or someone talking out of their a** it shouldn't be injected in passing conversation unless it's fact and it has it's own thread with proof to back it up. I know with a lot of new people on the boards the rumors are going around faster so I'm taking this time to squash this rumor immediately. Unless you have proven documentation, don't bring it up, especially in a thread of translations because people then think "oh wait it was in Japanese but I didn't understand it but read it there so it probably was said and this is the translation".. so please STOP. I will. (I'll actually delete that post entirely so as no one else gets rifled.

Understood I'll amend mine as well. Just making sure since that's not the only rumor flying around where I'm trying to wrap my head around. LOL Back on topic thanks for the translations. MAN I wish we had an official release with subtitles. They could make a lot of money if they did a Bluray/DVD.

After Masashi Hioki cleared the 2nd stage
Mayumi (his wife): Thank you very much. Kakkou yokatta-desu. (He Looked great.) I'm in love with him again.
Hioki: Kitsuu. (Toough) What the hell? What the hell? Uohhh, can't stand up. Can't stand up.
Kanno: Well, it was saikou (awesome, great). I just saw his supreme fortitude.
His daughter Miyuna kissed him.
Hioki: Arigato. Arigato. (Thank you.) Let's go to the crowd. Thank you very much (speaking to the camera). Well, nobody's here. Cho hazukasii. (Very embarrassing) When I wanted to take his kid to a bath but had to go out for training, she did the job alone. And when we had a dinner, I didn't eat some dishes for the reason that they're too greasy. I was very selfish, feel sorry for her. So I'm hoping that she'll forgive me just a bit. Will you?
Mayumi: I'll forgive you.
Hioki: Arigato. (Thank you.)

Right after Kazuma Asa cleared the 2nd stage
Asa: Kimochiya, kimochi. [(It is) heart (that counts)!]
Nagano: Sugoinaa, wakai noha. (Impressive indeed, young guys are)
Yuki (his girlfriend): Kakkou yokatta desu. (He was looking cool.) (Laugh)
Asa: Really, if I wasn't giving up....indeed (good things would happen)
(using his local tongue) I'm really happy. Really happy.
It's kind of embarrassing to say but I trained very hard.
Yokattaa. (Wonderful)
