Look i am not of course excusing Drew, i've said before he deserves some punishment, but i just want to put a few things in perspective.
I used to live in Australia. US Sailors would dock in port now and then. Schoolgirls aged 13/14 through to 17 would dress up and go down to the port town to hang out and yes there were going there to be picked up. US sailors would talk to these girls (knowing they were underage), take them to hotels/motels for sex. Not talking about one or two cases, many hundred a visit. This was not exceptional behaviour by the sailors, this was the norm and has been and is still happening for years and years. I am sure it is replicated in many ports all over the world.
So if you are condemning Drew, you are pretty much condemning over 50 percent of Sailors and god knows who else.
Then you have rock stars/pop stars who routinely bed girls underage.
I'm not saying the above behaviour is right, i'm saying it is not exceptional and i'm not victim accusing, but a lot of girls willingly and proactively put themselves in these situations. That is unfortunately a fact. I remember being at school (15 years old) and 5 or 6 of the popular girls boasting to everyone how they all got f***ed by sailors on the weekend.
The world is not black and white, like the law.

Look , this is a subject that if opinions differ, opinions differ, you will never get anyone to change their mind on their opinion
It's sad for the sport, it's sad for the girl, for April
But there's bigger things happening in the world right now

I mean, you said it was illegal "all over the world," which isn't true. Many countries have ages of consent that are 14 or lower, including Brazil, Paraguay, and Japan. People in those countries would probably find it very surprising to learn that Drew faces jail time for what he did. This case is not about consent. Never has been. Again you are being pedantic. You are correct, it is not about consent, because consent was given by the girl. It is about the law and Drew broke the law in the country he lives in. Drew has already paid a huge price for this (loss of his reputation and his career), he will most likely receive more punishment I have no issue with Drew getting punished, i am not saying he is a good person, i am just saying he does not deserve to be lumped together with someone who rapes and murders a 5 year old

Man this is bad news !
There is a Huge difference between CONSENSUAL sex with a 15 year old and forced rape with a 10 year old. Both are labelled child sex offenders.
Yes what Drew did is illegal, and he deserves punishment
If you put every male in america in a room with an attractive willing 15 year old girl and said they could have sex with her with no consequences, i promise you, over 70 percent would do it
There are a lot of countries where 16 is the age of consent. In those countries, there are plenty of relationships of 19-22 year old men dating 17 year old girls and it's normal
look at the amount of jokes which went around when the Olsen twins became legal. When we are talking about this 15 to 17 year old age range, it is the fear of the consequences (jail, loss of reputation, loss of job etc) which prevents most men acting on their urges, not the fact they think sex with them is wrong.

Hannah Teter, a snowboarder who was the titan was equally embarrassed , worse that Jessi Graf
No where near enough size or strength
This is a big strong crossfitters event
Tyron Woodley was also embarrassed, just too small

Jessie Graf losing was a surprise but it shows the physical attributes ANW doesn't test, mainly pure strength/power and muscular endurance (not bodyweight muscular endurance).
On the two obstacles that tested these attributes (the wheel spin and pulling the ball and chain), Jessie really struggled
The female boxer, Clarissa someone was equally embarassed in the other region
They are getting beaten by basically crossfitters who do a lot of powerlifting
There are no agility based obstacles or extended upper body bodyweight exercises (the only one is really short) to give someone like Jessie any chance to balance out the pure power obstacles

Will he compete next season ? take a season off to give others a chance ?
I do think if someone wins the million, they shouldn't be allowed to compete again for 2 seasons if they are under 30 years of age, or 1 season if they are over 30 years of age
Then if someone gets the million the next season(s), when they return, it will be a big deal and would make for great TV
Drew is one of my favourites, but even i do not want to see him win again next season

Brian and Levi Meuwinburg were my two favourites from the early seasons
They definitely seem to be hard done by
Nothing stays the same, you do need to move with the times if you want to stay in the game

Some of the kids were impressive. Kids can have an amazing bodyweight to strength ratio which is what ANW is all about. I've seen a 7 year old girl do more proper strict pullups than anyone i have seen
Somehow i don't think Crossfit games junior would look so good.

Thanks for the info The problem to me seems to be Beastmaster is a one and done show. You appear on one season then that's it Where's on ANW you keep coming back year after year

Beastmaster is now in it's 3rd season which has surprised me but seems to indicate it's here to stay for a while
It's gotten bigger, more countries and bigger names doing the commentary (CM Punk, Anderson Silva etc)
How do you think Beastmaster fits into the Ninja Warrior world ?
Doesn't seem to be many athletes who have competed in both
I think we can all agree Beastmaster obstacles are overengineering visually but they have come up with some unique physical challenges
Would love to see some of the Beastmaster competitors on Ninja warrior and vice veras

I decided to take the original broadcast from the finals and edit it to make it look and sound like sasuke, would love for you all to check it out...and for the record this is not made to steal viewers from others who have already posted videos of the event, but rather as a way to see if I could edit this to look like an official broadcast, which I think I accomplished. Hope you all enjoy Nice work

I'm enjoying the season so far. The change of having a relay being used in tiebreakers instead of teams choosing someone to run again is a good one as it stops teams with one superstar and 2 duds getting through
As for is it too much ninja warrior
Well Ninja warrior is an interesting one, because it is part tv show and part sport. More year round coverage means more profile for the competitors which means they are more successful in opening ninja gyms etc

. So if anything they're trying to bring back the foreigners. I'm sorry i just don't buy this All they needed to do is pick up the phone and there would be queues of high profile foreigners willing to come over (on their own dime) and run the course in Sasuke 35, looking at the body language of the Japanese competitors and commentators, i'm not saying they despised Drew being there, but they definitely would not have shed a tear if he wasn't and probably if a secret ballot was held, they would all prefer he wasn't there

Yes but that was the time when foreign participants were more welcome. Not that they aren't welcome in a cultural sense, but with Ninja warrior's popularity around the world, the Sasuke organisers know foreigner competitors are way way stronger now and can all too easily outshine the japanese competitors
I think they want to totally get rid of all foreign competitors

My understanding is Drew gets invited back each year because he keeps making it to Stage 3
What happens if he doesn't make it to Stage 3 in future competitions ?
No more foreign participants ?

here is what i would do for next season.
You have the season, qualifying events etc , people can get to the finals that way with the usual qualifying points system.
You have a qualifying event just before the finals for international competitors etc
You have a certain number of wildcards/ invitations
BUT you also have provision for anyone (i mean anyone) to come off the street and pay $1000 on the day and run in the finals (this includes people who tried to qualify other ways and failed). That extra money goes straight into the prize fund. you have 20 people do this, that's 20 grand. Sean McColl, Tim Sheriff, Jesse Leflair etc want to come in and pay a grand to compete, let them
