My understanding is Drew gets invited back each year because he keeps making it to Stage 3
What happens if he doesn't make it to Stage 3 in future competitions ?
No more foreign participants ?

If he doesn't make it to the 3rd Stage, their just going to bring him back based off his past performances. Remember Levi Meeuwenberg in SASUKE 21 when he failed the 2nd Stage. Though that happened, they still brought him back for SASUKE 22 based off his performance in SASUKE 20.

Yes but that was the time when foreign participants were more welcome. Not that they aren't welcome in a cultural sense, but with Ninja warrior's popularity around the world, the Sasuke organisers know foreigner competitors are way way stronger now and can all too easily outshine the japanese competitors
I think they want to totally get rid of all foreign competitors

Think about the last few tournaments. SASUKE 32 they allowed Alexander Mars, Andre Simm, Brent Steffensen, Kacy Cantanzaro, Perry Oosterlee, Grace from the YouTube Channel Texan in Tokyo, Drew Drechsel, It was going to be Geoff Britten but they were taping ANW during the taping of SASUKE. SASUKE 33: Drew Drechsel, Dion Trigg. SASUKE 34: Drew Drechsel, Jessie Graff, Dion Trigg. SASUKE 35: Drew Drechsel. Now why the huge decrease? Kacy: WWE, Brent: ANW tapings Perry: Didn't fill out an application. Grace: Didn't fill out an application Andre: Didn't fill out an application. Dion Trigg: He didn't do so well so they didn't invite him back Jessie Graff: Injury. So if anything they're trying to bring back the foreigners.

Zhang Wang Yang and Liao Long Zhun were also in 32. Liao was in 33 too.

Difference between 32 and 33 had everything to happen to what happened in 32. We've had that discussion at nauseum. As for what may happen to Drew we don't know tbh. He fought for years just to stay on the show even though he was last man standing. Nothing is guaranteed anymore even with the Japanese so it's anyone's guess what mood they are in that day. It's frustrating to watch.

. So if anything they're trying to bring back the foreigners. I'm sorry i just don't buy this All they needed to do is pick up the phone and there would be queues of high profile foreigners willing to come over (on their own dime) and run the course in Sasuke 35, looking at the body language of the Japanese competitors and commentators, i'm not saying they despised Drew being there, but they definitely would not have shed a tear if he wasn't and probably if a secret ballot was held, they would all prefer he wasn't there

But if it is true, then that's really sad. If Sasuke were able to send their top competitors (Tomo, Yusuke, Jun) to compete in the ANW regular season, they'd be given a champion's welcome (though NBC will never allow it).

Wreath Man was removed after SASUKE 34 (Probably due to KuroOvi). See another foreigner regular we lost

Remember Levi Meeuwenberg in SASUKE 21 when he failed the 2nd Stage. Though that happened, they still brought him back for SASUKE 22 based off his performance in SASUKE 20. That was actually different situations entirely for multiple reasons... 1: During the Monster9 era if you clear stage 1 you automatically get an invite to the next tournament, that policy no longer applies since TBS took over. 2: Levi was sent because of the spots G4 managed to get and negotiate with M9, so that's another factor, it wasn't a case of "Because TBS said so", it was more "Because G4 is using one of their spots on him". I would say a better example was Sasuke 25 how the spots for 24 rolled over for Levi, Brian and Rich and G4 didn't have time to pull a whole ANW out of their a** so quickly but again, see points 1 and 2... So that also is irrelevant to this discussion.
