I saw this and freaked out. Then I wondered if it was actually him or just someone with the crazy mustache who looked almost just like him.

I don't think he wants to compete cause in insta, he posted a pic of taking 2nd place in a parkour competition and someone commented that he should be on Ninja warrior and he said no

It's nice to see he's still into freerunning. I wonder what made him decide to say no to Ninja though. Does anyone know/am I an idiot

He's gone on record not liking a lot of things of the current ANW culture. He got into it because of Sasuke Japan. Once that door was closed he just lost interest. This was on top of the clampdown on Freerunners (with the infamous NDA making working on projects not tied to NBC illegal which thankfully is no longer a thing). The whole atmosphere changed once ANW/NBC started to develop into something else entirely. He's a hardcore Sasuke fan like many of us back in the day and once that magic was gone so were a lot of the OG.

Brian and Levi Meuwinburg were my two favourites from the early seasons
They definitely seem to be hard done by
Nothing stays the same, you do need to move with the times if you want to stay in the game

So why was he in the walk-on pool if he doesn't want to compete? I just saw the episode and he looks like a completely different person besides the mustache. Anyway, funny he went from being the "number 1 American" in ANW2 to glanced over on a walk on line in a qualifier episode 9 seasons later.

There is another guy with the same rediculous moustache that does ANW, maybe it was him? Or maybe he was there saying hi to someone?
Last time Orosco competed was with me as part of team usa in "Sasuke China X Warrior" which you can find online if you look with a little effort 😉 I think everything said about why he doesn't compete is accurate, but I will also add that he is a freerunner and focuses mostly only running/jumpong and I think as the sport/show became more about rock climber type strength he would basically be forced to totally change the type of athlete he is and totally change his training etc in order to stay competitive in the current versions of stage 2 and 3 which are all upper body, and he would rather deadlift etc. And he totally could be competitive if he wanted to, but then see the reasons why it's not worth it to him anymore above.
