I will be building a Salmon Ladder today, and I want the specs to be exact.
What's the distance between the rungs? I'm thinking 6 inches and 9 for the top, but I need to be sure, so I don't make it too easy or incorrect or whatever (Although nothing's easy about this beast...).
Anyone know of the measurements?

Sorry about the double post, but the above question still stands, as well as that I have pictures! Also, I sent the question to Levi, and he responded soon after: Hello Levi! Hope you're doing well, and looking forward to Sasuke 22! I'm going to be building a salmon ladder, and I was curious if you could give me a guesstimate on how far apart the rungs are. I'm thinking 6 inches and 9 for the top, but I'd really like to be as close as possible. Anyway, best of luck, and I hope to see you again at COPK this summer -Chris Christensen "Yeah that all sounds about right, excluding the rungs which are about 2" thick each. LM ----------------------------- Took this one while waiting for the paint to dry on certain edges so I could move them without messing up the paint job. It's a black paint with primer in it already, so I only have to coat it once (Although I'll be doing it 2x just to be safe) PAIINTENGE STAGU CLE-AHHH!!! ( ) I started to drill the holes and bolt them together, however, my batteries died on me, so I barely started before I got finished Either way, it took me 3 hours to get the time consuming part done, thankfully. I'm going to wake up tomorrow with my friends who will be helping me finish, and then get some practice in!

I dunno if anyone's reading this, so it seems kinda pointless for me to keep writing, but whatever. I'm a slow learner FINALLY got the base done. It took forever to do, whereas it seemed so easy... but the hard part was drilling the holes straight. We had to re-do some of the holes, simply because they weren't lined up right. Then, we had the wrong type of bolts. First, they were about twice as long as I needed, which caused problems since they weren't threaded all the way down, so I couldn't get the nuts/washers on tight. Then I returned them and got ones just barely too short, and returned them. Then we double checked it again in-store so we wouldn't mess up, and success! They were perfect, and wa-lah! Then we started on the rungs. We HAVE to get this perfect the first time, so we're taking it slow. We only got these 3 rungs done since the batteries died (again... gah...). Also, notice the angles at the end of the salmon ladder. I'm going to be adding a Pipe Slider at the end of it, so I figured this would be a great way to keep me from falling off once I reach the top A meal fit for a ninja. 5 patties... mysteriously vanished!

LOL working on your own monster burger there Sam? Lol, yeah. It's a burger joint called 'Five Guys'. Best burgers I've had in my life! Their normal burger has 2 patties, but I add 3 more. Om Nom Nom!

There's one of those around here. I always joke "Five Guys. What a classy sounding place".
But I hope your Salmon Ladder works good. And did you mean Stick Slider instead of Pipe Slider?
And get video too.

Nice work. Honestly I'm not sure if 6" and 9" is enough, but you're already half way there so you might as well finish up and see what it's like; you can always move the rungs later. Good luck, hope it turns out well.

Geez, Someone who has tried the real one twice said that those measurements should be fine. What more do you need!? XD A letter from Higuchi Ushio signed by 15 Testers/Demonstrators or something!? XD

More than someone just guessing? Yes, I do need more than that.

You mean to tell me this is not enough research!? I don't think you can research it more than being on it.

I doubt Neil Armstrong could tell me how to get to the moon.
But we digress...

I mean, 6 inches doesn't seem like enough, but that's Levi's best guess, so that's what I'm gonna try.
I wish I had a better guestimate though.

Why not a foot each for them and a foot an a half for the last one.

forums.g4tv.com/showthread.php?t=48204&highlight=Obstacle+Specs&page=3This was a thread a while ago on the g4 forums about the distance between the rungs on the Salmon Ladder. Madmonso thinks that it's about 15 inches between rungs, and Leon thinks it's 12 inches and 18 inches for the top. I personally have to agree with Leon *gasp*. I think that 6 inches and 9 inches for the top sounds a little short, but as obakemono said you can always change it if it's wrong. Anyway, good luck with your project.

You could always email Monster9. They seem quite responsive and helpful for most things. You never know.

12 and 18? Alright, compared to the picture that sounds much more reasonable. So... time to change it!
