Email monster 9, they have been responding a lot lately.
As for the 6 inches, seems a bit little, but take into account that's exluding the rungs as Levi said. So since you need to get it over the rungs it makes it more like 12 inches.

I'll try e-mailing them. Not so sure if I'll get official measurements, I mean, do even the Sasuke All-Stars have them? Either way, 12 and 18 inches are going to be quite difficult (I've re-done the rungs to the new amount now, sorry, pictures seemed kinda pointless) for me physically (which is the point, I know ), so yeah. Nonetheless, I'm going for authenticity, so It would be in my best interest to e-mail them.

Hey I don't see why it wouldn't be worth a shot. Even Muscle Park might be able to help you. Including pictures might help too

Alright, this is what I sent to them:
Think that was ok?

I think it'll do fine. The Kota Honma request might have best been sent in a different e-mail (perhaps so they could forward it to him), but I don't think that'll take too much away. It might have also helped to put the measurements you were using into a rough guestimate of what they would have been in metric, but (if they do reply) they would probably have someone who would kinda sorta understand what you meant. The link to the photos were a good idea; the fact that you already have some of it built up (a la Shiratori) may get a favorable response.
And totally off topic: If you asked Levi about this, shouldn't you have asked the more important question of whether he is actually going back to 22?

Pretty good. Although Salmon Ladder is in fact the japanese name for the obstacle, listen to the announcer during the second stage and some of the third stage.

Ha... I so totally knew that... wow. I can feel my brain turn to sludge as I remember how the announcer pronounced it. Wow. /facepalm I finished the rungs today. 12" and 18" for the top. I'm really glad I changed to the 12' wood rather than the 10' I had before, otherwise this really wouldn't work Now I'm working on the angle pieces that will be holding it up, which will be bolted to the base. I'm really excited about trying to finish this... but I still have a bit to go. Once the ladder is up and standing, I need to attach the 10' poles that extend out from the top of the ladder. Think the sticky-slider, however it's going to be more of a pipe-slider. I need to make this as hard of an obstacle as I can, so if I can ever beat it, it'll put me ahead of the game! Also, it'll help itself become more sturdy, so that's definately a plus. I'd like to get more pics up, but the only true difference now, is that all the rungs are attached; nothing worth taking pics over.

Well, it's built! And I can't climb it! haha... I can ALMOST get one rung up... on my first try. Which tells me the difficulty is perfect. More than I can handle, and gives me something to work on.
I have pictures, but my internet is down (Doing this on my PSP wirelessly from the guy upstairs... muhaha), so once I get it back up, I'll not only have pictures, but 3 videos from my first trys. Don't expect anything miraculas (sp...) though. I partly think it was the bar (pictures later)... remember that whole conversation with Leon on the bouncy pole being counteractive? Yeah... think along those lines. Picture later.
No response from Monster9 however... sadface. I wish I'd get a response soon, but seeing how long it's been, I doubt I'll get anything now. Oh well. Guess what I need now is a convincing video! More pull-ups for me...

You need a stronger bar too tehehheheh Brave guy to be swinging on that thing.. oy.. but yeah nice training Though I do notice that people use the momentum of their bodies to propel themselves.. then you have the total show offs like Nagano who muscle their bodies up there with almost no movement.. LOL Thanks for sharing though

1. Get a stronger bar, when its bends thats never good... obviously 2. your samlon ladder looks about right, so thats good 3. im not sure ur startng position was so good. try starting @ the second rung, with ur knees off the ground, i think it might be easier then, because u might not have ur legs as dead weight

I did buy a better bar. Originally I bought a 3/4 inch galvanized pipe, which bent and sucked. All I had to do it hold onto it and it bent in the middle. Waste of money. My starting position did suck. We built the 6 rungs just to find out the very bottom one is completely useless, and the 2nd to bottom one is barely usable. So, until I get the strength to move up them consecutively, I'll be starting on the third. My technique was horrible on purpose. This was attempt number 3, and I cut the talking I did before since the wind blew out my voice on the microphone. My attempt numbers 1 & 2 were me using momentum (swinging back and forth), but I didn't get anywhere, and kept taking breathers between attempts. Nothing video worthy. So, attempt #3, I just decided to move vertically (no swinging), and see how high I could go. There's no way I was going to move up a rung, so I just simply practiced -EDIT- I liked how I worded the above information, so I added it to the description for the video on Vimeo and video.google (Which forced my video into low-res! I'm not happy about that!)

Judging by your height you should make the base higher up so you can use the notches and not have a few useless ones.
And if you have stoppers just go for a Stick Slider and practice your timing.

I already have plans for a Stick Slider at the end (The Pipe Slider, actually), which with a new piece I'm making, I'll also have a Rumbling Dice. 3 obstacles in 1!

Well, practice makes perfect ;D, and those notches look to be about right except for the fact that they're pretty close to the ground. It sounds like you plan on making a full setup in your backyard, and I still have yet to secure my cliffhanger in the ground haha. Anyway, I hope all your pullups pay off, and you can complete it soon.
