Is that one guy (Amos?) seriously running the course blindfolded?

Would an American who got Japanese citizenship be allowed to compete in SASUKE? I don't see why not.

Thank you! EDIT: I just checked the SASUKEpedia page for SASUKE 29, and it looks like somebody was smart enough to record the time before the video went private. The exact amount of time left was 17.84 seconds. It was me yam! 17.84 Indeed! I can STILL remember a few things about the Keitaro vid: He grabbed the left side of the Jump Hang Kai. Announcer Hatsuta freaked out when he was on top of the 2nd WW. He had FIFTY seconds left BEFORE the Backstream; too bad he can't swim! Still can't believe he was SLOWER than Yuuya LOL! He didn't have 50 seconds before the backstream. More around 40. Yuuji was the fastest in Stage 2 up until that point.

Nagano Vs. Yuuji in the final with them both winning. Heck, throw Akiyama in there too.
Are you all fairly confident that Nagano would demolish the Backstream?

-Nagano vs. the Backstream -Shingo on Stage 3 with no shoulder difficulty -Yamada passing Stage 1 (Dude deserves one S1 clear in forever, plus shattering the age record for S1 would be cool) -Ryo on the original Wall Lifting without the raised walls -Backstream being upgraded to the Sharkstream in honor of Shark Week -SASUKE being done on a navy ocean liner like the opening week of NCAA Basketball -The top 1-5 Americans in ANW being invited to SASUKE. -Every SASUKE 20-29 star vs. the SASUKE 17 course. Just to settle the G.O.A.T. debate. -Easier Cliffhangers, harder surrounding obstacles on the 3rd Stage. G.O.A.T. debate?

I'm kinda pissed they didn't show Sean Morris and Thomas Hall's runs. Does anyone know what they failed on? Neither of them made the Top 15.

They can make their own rules. It's not Sasuke.

The body prop looked a lot more strenuous for the americans then it does on Sasuke. Maybe the height difference? The shorter guy (I forget his name) was 5'6" and he didn't have nearly as hard of a time with it. How wide do you think the spacing is from one side to the other? Based on the height of the competitors I am guessing around 5'. Anyone have better info on this? I am building this along with the spider jump right now and I want to be as close to accurate as possible. Any feedback is appreciated. They adjusted the height according to the height of each competitor.

First off, what kind of rope are you using? That can make a big difference I find. If your using a more plant-fiber type rope and your hands are still ripping, you may just have to keep letting them get ripped and heal a few times, and eventually your hands will toughen up (it sounds like a pain, and it is, but trust me). If your using more poly-type rope, as I find that type can be brutal on the hands, try wrapping the rope in climbing tape, that's what I did for the ropes in my basement, and it works like a charm. It's poly. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely invest in some climbing tape now.

Lately I've been building various rope obstacles such as the Rope Junction, Tarzan Rope, and Umbilical Cords (Second to last obstacle from Sasuke 27's 3rd Stage; I don't think that's the real name LOL) suspended from my second story deck in my backyard.
My problem is that I am DESTROYING my hands after attempting these obstacles several times. Trust me, I have very strong, callused hands with a solid grip, but my fingers have been shredding a part like crazy. I've tried so many types of gloves, and even though they keep my hands free from pain, I just don't have the same grip that I usually do without gloves.
Does anyone else have this problem? Can someone help me out? Thanks.

I've been having the same problem, and I've noticed that there is a vast difference with running on grass and running on, say, a sidewalk. I get so much more speed when running on a smooth, hard surface as oppose to grass, and the momentum I get from that speed when I jump makes all the difference.

I'm happy with 3rd Place and wish luck to the remaining two contestants. But they should both keep one eye open for me next year.
