Is that one guy (Amos?) seriously running the course blindfolded?

That's what the NBC commercial said. I wonder if it isa see-through blindfold. Either way, he made it through through the quintuple steps with the blindfold on.

I remember speaking to him randomly just because we were standing next to eachother in Miami last year. we were looking at the bungee bridge as the first competitors went through it and a few people were strategizing about how to complete it in the most safe, conservative way possible. His comment was something like "whatever, I just want to see how FAST I can go through it" haha.
Ironically, he ended up going out on it, but definitely illustrates his attitude that he is just trying to have fun and be a little bit of a showboat.

What happened to Jake Smith?

I was relieved to see Jake make it to Vegas, and I have to applaud Sam Sann for his valiant effort.
What happened with Stephen Volcko? There were guys that they heavily promoted in ANW4, but basically ignored in ANW5, like Stephen.

Until they mentioned Chris' name I was sure that was him.

Sorry for double posting, but my last one was really just a separate reply.
Few things I'd like to note:
What is up with Jake Smith? He always has trouble with the Warped Wall, but it's not like he can't do it. He even has a tutorial video on youtube! I was also disappointed with his run. He rushed the beginning and paid for it later on. There's no way he'll ever pass the 3rd Stage like this. The funny thing is that he's one of my favorite competitors. BRING BACK THE COOL SOCKS.
Sam Sann is amazing. A huge inspiration from his personal background to his run on the course. I'd kill to give him a Wild Card in Vegas.
Amos Rendao... enough with the "Just doing it for fun" stuff if you're just going to rush everything. Levi had a much better approach. There was no reason to have just went straight into the Salmon Ladder.
Paul Kasemir... amazing as always.

Top 15, for the final time this season. Top 15
1. Paul Kasemir; Finished, 3:19.5 2. Josh Cook; Finished, 3:47.83 3. Brian Arnold; Finished, 3:50.43 4. Isaac Caldiero; Finished, 4:03.43 5. Colby Frontiero; Finished, 4:17.2 6. Casey Finlay; Failed Pole Grasper, 2:00.57 7. Tremayne Dortch; Failed Pole Grasper, 2:21.93 8. Kyle Sinacori; Failed Pole Grasper, 2:25.17 9. Andres De La Rosa; Failed Pole Grasper, 3:01.22 10. Chris Romrell; Failed Floating Stairs, 1:41.744 11. Lorin Ball; Failed Floating Stairs, 1:45.18 12. Jake Smith; Failed Floating Stairs, 1:53.85 13. Caleb Garnham; Failed Floating Stairs, 2:01.38 14. Camilo Brokaw; Failed Floating Stairs, 2:39.19 15. Josh Grant; Failed Floating Stairs, 2:43.22 Also, MattyRox, you were disappointed with Jake Smith's run? As in, one of the top 15 runs of the Denver finals? You may have a bit of too-high standards, there. Sam Sann's run is, in my opinion, one of the most inspirational in all 5 seasons.

Why wouldn't I have high standards for a two-time Midoriyama veteran? I know he could have easily passed the Floating Stairs if he just took his time. So yes, I was disappointed with his strategy of rushing the beginning of the course, only to gas out towards the end AND dropping from 3rd to 11th place. Now if we were talking about any rookie and I said I was disappointed with his run, then I could see that being an unjust remark. But considering we're talking about such a strong veteran, I don't see it as being degrading.

Was Denver the only course to have obstacles adjusted between qualifying and the finals? Or was it done solely because so many people completed the Denver qualifying course?

Venice had the Flying Nunchuks modified to be the Trapeze Swing (the vertical handles removed and the structural crossbar lowered to be a handle), does that count?

I think they made it easier considering what happened to Dan Mast getting injured and was scared of getting sued.

I think they changed the Flying Nunchucks because it was super over powered. There were people who only passed 4 obstacles and still made it into the top 30.
As for Denver, those few adjustments showed how the qualifier could have cut down the number of clears. While Denver definitely had the easiest qualifier, I'm glad the extended section upped the difficulty dramatically. When it came to the later obstacles, Denver wasn't the easiest there.

The changes the made in between the first and 2nd rounds didnt really seem to make much of a difference. IMO.

Just getting the chance to watch this ep now, holy crap Sam Sann had an impressive run, I'm amazed he got as far as he did with an ankle sprained the night before, especially on such a lower body course like Denver's
