They should've brought back the original Salmon Ladder. Original and best. OMG how about the original Salmon Ladder into the stick slider, which drops you immediately into the backstream?!?!?! lol that would be so much fun to see Oh yeah and Arsenette I'm with you there, that looks pretty dangerous but it makes me wonder, I wonder if that's where the belt is held together....makes you wonder what actually is holding it together in general....

From someone watching the broadcasts, it's probably also a lot more exciting to see close calls rather than "30 seconds left at the walls, definite clear" moments like we did throughout most of Shin-SASUKE. It might be a stretch in saying this, but if played/edited right I could see moments like these being enough to draw more viewers in more often (or, at the very least, not negatively affect ratings). By the way, in terms of Stage 3 obstacles, we all know what everyone wants to see. Slightly OT but Paper Girl was back doing production or whatever for this show (she was gone for 31 which was very disappointing).

I'm finally looking at the photos on my computer and blowing them up to see how big they really are.. and I noticed friggin' spikes or shark teeth under Yoshida's Conveyor pic.. It may look like that, but i'm guessing that might be the rubber partially ripped or torn off if something I might see. I doubt those are REAL spikes. I'm pretty sure Inui isn't THAT evil.

Giggles it was a joke but yeah that's totally padding. Just went well with the lasers, floating rocking chairs and electrocution posts. TBF though.. from my seat I couldn't see inside the thing so this was the first time I'm looking at it as well.

As much as I wouldn't put it past Inui to be that evil I think that's just pieces of the conveyor breaking at the links, I've seen conveyors at walmart that look like that so I think that's just what dying conveyor belts look like

Especially Okuyama being an older guy and just completely spent after powering through. And now I'm really disappointed my laptop with my recordings of that stream conked out on me because my joke submission was the first obstacle they showed lol.

Really though, Okuyama and Ishikawa's close calls were some of the best moments to watch. Shingo too! Both his close calls were well... heart pounding. Carry on. BTW YES to reverse conveyor belt! I like the revitalization! ^_^

I'm not sure where this comes from but that is most definitely Sasuke 32 on the right.. seems to be one of the tv shows they did previews with. Something about Wednesday being the premiere of this? Or was it yesterday? Can someone help?

They are doing a thing on Suiyobi Downtown (Wednesday Downtown) for next week that mixes games and real life and one of those is a SASUKE and Mario thing. Suiyobi Downtown was also the show that had Yamada on it a couple times last year. The small part about SASUKE is at the very end.

I assume the thing next week will be short. LOL I hope the whole thing is on YouTube after next weeks show. ❤️

Never thought they'd show stuff from any other channel (except Fuji TV and Yomiuri TV)

If you mean, why this is on youtube - it's not an official upload. It'll be gone whenever TBS gets around to noticing it. If you mean, why are they on TBS, no talent/comedian/actor is tied to any specific channel. Downtown has weekly shows on TBS, Fuji and NTV/Yomiuri. That's in addition to shows they aren't together on, which gets Asahi in there for good measure. Only announcers are tied down to their networks.

Each hop is 10 cm (4 inches) higher than the one before.
Daytime pic from Inui's phone on the startline.

There were 4 mats in Stage 3 last year (Between Drum Hopper and Iron Paddler -- between Iron Paddler and Sidewinder R -- between Sidewinder R and Cliffhanger -- Between Cliffhanger and Vertical Limit Kai). Now there are just two? Hope people have been practicing their stamina.

At least to me, it looks like Sidewinder is first obstacle from that second picture...correct me if I'm wrong.

You're very wrong , it's in the same place it was last year, Drum Hopper Kai is the start of the picture (What's before it? It is a mys... Oh wait wrong thread ), then Sidewinderr, then the rest of stage 3 which you can see if you know what you're looking for, but we're looking at it from a perspective of a competitor about to attempt DHK, you can also see the announcers booth on the left side of the picture and supports for the Final Stage on the right side

Also, Inui's first tweet says SASUKE2016 3rd Stage 第1エリア which means "SASUKE2016 3rd Stage first area". And the obstacle was the first obstacle last tournament.

I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on beyond the sidewinder. A few things confuse me.
1. The two easily-visible cliffhanger ledges show the crazy transition is still there, but I'm not seeing ledge that is higher on the left side than the right. Is the transition upwards now? 2. There seems to be some obstacle piece directly above the first cliffhanger ledge. Maybe has to do with a new way of transitioning to the second ledge in the right? 3. How the heck is one supposed to get from the ledge on the right to what I assume is the vertical limit in the center?
I am geometrically confused.

Oops...honestly didn't see the support for the tower, I thought that was stage two in the background that's why I don't make assumptions about obstacles!!!
