Spin Bridge doesn't look too different from 27, definitely not ANW4 padded difficult.
As for selection... yeah... I hoped for japan vets, especially stage 3 vets from 27 (Not just saying that since you're one of them), if they wanted to give newcomers a shot, the picks they made were still odd... I mean for example of better picks of newcomers, Derek Nakamoto, sasuke maniac (in the general sense, not the us sense, dunno if he's here) and one of only 3 to pass the vegas Balance Tank (and only newcomer to do so), Chris Wilczewski is another good pick despite the odd fail, another fan who even has his own Sasuke themed gym, not to mention a story nbc and tbs would like about how the show improved his life. And with how much hype he got and making it to the BT I thought Ahmed Toure would be on NBCs radar. I have no clue why Dodd and the Lobeck Brothers got invites

I'm just not happy with his foot placement. Such a bummer if he fails that. Now that I think about it more, I feel like it would be really odd for TBS to give us the image of Yamada just before he falls to his death lol I think he must have passed the Spinning Bridge, if he failed there I think they would have chosen a photo of another All-Star on the obstacle. They don't spare Yamada a lot of shame but they spare his SOME shame, and based on the Navi and other videos thusfar they've made a point of not showing any spoilerific fails of any high profile competitors... I think they realize we catch onto it and it destroys the drama they build up in the real show. With all that said, if he does happen to fail there, I am happy he at least didn't spin out on the Escargot. That would have been tragic.

Yeah I think we covered that earlier, I was just listing some examples of better candidates than two ff DSL fails and a Lamp Grasper semis fail getting the invites (Sure Josh didn't run but he had the spot... But if NBC was so determined to go the brothers route, the McGrath bros should have gone instead of the Lobeck bros)

I'm not exactly sure how to link a photo but here's a photo the TBS facebook just uploaded of a competitor doing the swimming obstacle: (spoilered for size?) Who is it? The competitor is wearing a white wristband on their left arm and is wearing white shorts with a dark shirt...

Here's the picture using the attachment system we have going on. Say what you want about the obstacle, makes for a great action shot.

Plus, Dodd and Lobeck got digested twice in Vegas with the other not even making it to Vegas. Maybe they know someone at NBC. That's my guess. That being said I don't blame them for going (especially since they paid their way there), I blame NBC for the selection process. It's not like they couldn't do the right thing they had friggin' 2 months warning We'll see what happens overall with NBC/Ninja Warrior next season. In the meantime I hope they did well.

As if that's a shocker Of course, but given the circumstances I wouldn't be too sure about anything!

I've got a strange feeling that Takeda will fail the Escargot.

I've got a strange feeling that Takeda will fail the Escargot. Shhh, shhh... Quiet, you. That kind of talk hurts my stomach. But yeah, I've had similar feelings about all of the all-stars on the first stage. I'm going to be a wreck when watching this.

It wouldn't be too shocking considering he hasn't had much experience on it (if any). Bear in mind though that Yamada didn't have any experience on it either in 26 and he never had issues with it, so it could easily go both ways.

The rolling escargot made its first tournament debut in 26, so of course yamada didn't have experience on it and neither did the rest of the competitors either in that tournament.

I doubt Takeda would fail the Escargot. I'm sure he learned the technique from Nagano or someone.
