My take in this has always been unpopular simply because of the emotional stake people have the remaining 2 All-stars that have not already mentioned their intentions to the show. Shingo and Yamada. The other 4 have already made their decision despite public outcry and desire to put them in there even though they have already stepped away from the spotlight. Inui was pretty clear when he first mentioned what the future of this franchise should be. We still don't know how Japan will embrace Sasuke sans All-stars as the show hasn't even aired and we don't know the ratings for the show that hasn't aired. Inui spent the better part of 2 solid days talking to everyone reacting to the message he gave me. In about 3 different languages as well (some were asked in Spanish). He was clear about how he mentioned why he did it. And how he had to beg Takeda to even come back. He couldn't get Bunpei to come back. The rest were already going. So the question will always remain if what he spent 2 days explaining, what he's already done as a huge memorial and graduation ceremony leading up to the tourney being aired.. if all of this was so they can back out and send them back to auditions. Inui to me was crystal clear. If they came back it would be in the stands. He apologized to several dozen people that they would not be competing again after Sasuke 28. I can vouch that Google sometimes has a way with words.. but when it's repeated in 3 different languages over a span of several dozen texts over 2 days. I am leaning towards thinking he was serious about what he was doing. Given also the circumstantial evidence of moving on and the plans with putting a more glbbal spin to Sasuke.. it makes sense. I don't have to like it. Nagano is pretty smart and understands the underlying message he was handed and already has said something publicly about hanging up the shoes. Shingo has always spoken in the present tense (meaning if something hasn't aired it hasn't happened yet so therefore he's not retired). Yamada we don't hear from at all and so it's difficult gauge his reaction. Though, given how close he is to Nagano, I doubt if Nagano has retired that he would come back. Then again.. it's hard to gauge with him as he's come back a few times. He'd have to beg TBS to do so and if Inui is crystal clear.. I doubt they would allow that to happen. Especially with the play they've already done and friggin' Navi hasn't even aired yet.

We've known all month... It's not that bad... I can understand safety precautions... I mean considering the injuries in 27 and that story Ube mentioned about the rising celeb getting injured on a TV Asahi variety show I can understand why it's important to start taking precaution, not to mention the 5 injuries at the hands of the Rope Glider (granted that was one obstacle), not to mention how not just 1 but 2 americans have been injured by the HPA (Which also is gone but still)... so why are we overreacting about the pads...

This is the same video linked to on the SASUKE facebook page. dogatch.jp/interview/tsukuruhito/index.html?bclid=p-int_no.143Total news fail on my part. This video came out two weeks ago! Also, while I like what Inui is doing, this video shows that a lot of the changes may have come about because of the producer and TBS (since they would have had to approve the behind the scenes video). So perhaps people should cool down before proclaiming Inui only as the savior of the show. Things like the list of 100 competitors may not have necessarily come from him. I think people understand the reason behind the pads. It's just that they're so... un-Sasuke like, I guess. Based on the intensity of the course, it really does make sense, but they will be tough getting used to. Probably the closest thing to the kneepads that Sasuke has had before would be the gloves for Sasuke 5-17's Chain Reaction. We're they absolutely necessary? Probably not, but they were a precaution. The new producers/whoever I think are just showing a bit of caution regarding the contestant's safety. In my opinion it's not nearly as bad as the swimming obstacles ... but I'm still waiting with high hopes that it's integrated well.

My god will people stop with the swimming obstacle... water touching is illegal everywhere but the one "pool' obstacle in stage 2... Hell, even in Stage 2, any other water get touched and you still fail... think of it as just another obstacle... If you're going to complain about that you might as well complain about people who touch the supports of the platforms in stage 3... is touching that framework an instant dq? no... it's not giving any additional help than the platform itself would... if you do it on any obstacle it's still a dq (Like Kanno in 22), there is no issue... Family Viking had something pretty much the same (Although that you had to swim to grab a bar for your partner but the point is it was one legal water pit with clean water when all the mud areas are still DQ...

I don't know if this is fan made or not, but a small Rising Facebook page was created on November 29th, but it's significant because it's cover photo is Stage 3 in a blue tint. www.facebook.com/sasuke.tbsI wish I could download it, but you can't download cover photos unless you print screen and extract the picture. Edit: The about says "TBSƒeƒŒƒr@uSASUKEvŒöŽ®Facebookƒy[ƒW" which Google says means "Official Facebook page TBS TV "SASUKE"", but obviously it barely has any likes because no one knows how to promote. I just read the first post: ‚r‚`‚r‚t‚j‚d@‚q‚h‚r‚h‚m‚f ŒöŽ®Facebookƒy[ƒWƒAƒbƒv‚µ‚Ü‚µ‚½I ”Ô‘gŒöŽ®‚g‚o‚ƘA“®‚µ‚ÄA ÅVî•ñ‚ð‚¨“Í‚¯‚µ‚Ä‚¢‚«‚Ü‚·II "SASUKE RISING Was up official Facebook page! In conjunction with the HP official program, I will continue to deliver the latest information! !" The cliffhanger is in it. It looks like the original cliff-hanger also!

I wouldn't be too surprised if Yamada became an obstacle tester. It'd be a nice thing to do for him since well... he has no life we know of. Aside from that, I would expect to see shingo and yamada in the stands for future Sasukes. It's sad they're retiring, but we all knew this day was coming when the all-stars would be no more. So let's enjoy their last tournament and remember the good moments.

Did you see Shingo's comment on that pic? They do line-up pics like this all the time, but this is the first time they made Shingo take his shirt off. He said he was shy/embarrassed, LOL. Probably cold, too.

Yeah its all true. I just don't like the obstacle. Nothing to do with rules or disqualifications or anything, I just don't find the obstacle very interesting is all. I think a few others feel the same way.
