Apex said they were sending 20 ppl to tryouts so no surprise they dominated the results there. I'm gonna guess Miami results will be be somewhere between venice and dallas, but anything can happen, especially with the 3rd & 5th obstacle roulette G4's playing. Speaking of a Roulette, I wouldn't be surprised if a particularly dastardly obstacle made its way into the Miami qualifiers...

Me neither.. If it was after the SL it would be deadly.

Me neither.. If it was after the SL it would be deadly. Compared to a broken unstable bridge and an upwards globe grasp, a roulette cylinder seems likely. (And no don't comment that there was arm rings between those two examples... )

The rumor about 30 clears total is true, only 20 cleared in Mid-South and only 10 cleared in the Midwest. Wow sounded like a bloodbath in the prelims! I wonder what the results would have been if they kept the same obstacles from L.A...

Also since there have been people wondering about it, there is no sponsor this time and Alison Haislip is indeed gone, she was replaced by an asian girl named Angela (My source did not catch her last name, but knowing G4 if you watch them I assume you know who we mean). Although not all competitors got an interview, only select competitors who did well on the course or had costumes original enough. Matt Iseman and Johnny Mosely were still the commentators for runs. As for the broadcast, Qualifier rounds will air on G4, Semi-Finals and Vegas will air on NBC twitter.com/#!/sunnyangela For those interested in seeing who she is.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, The Curtains and Rope Junction were more brutal than expected Also since there have been people wondering about it, there is no sponsor this time and Alison Haislip is indeed gone, she was replaced by an asian girl named Angela (My source did not catch her last name, but knowing G4 if you watch them I assume you know who we mean). Sorry if this was asked but I'm having issues finding it. I know that each prelim has different obstacles (as was done in LA). What were the 2 .. the curtain cling thing and what? (meaning what was different from MW and MS).

Angela hasn't done anything for G4, but she has done several different movies as well as being a correspondent for The CW, the X Games and the Olympics I miss Alison anyway I'd like to know how many completed the semifinal course from each region as well as the fastest semi time if possible

As for the other regions, we'll be lucky to get that info.

lol your right and now that you mention that all the people that were there from the forums probably competed (meaning they're under the NDA) but it does seem like we got some really good info about qualifiers

Although not all competitors got an interview, only select competitors who did well on the course or had costumes original enough. To be fair, Angela did enter the contestant waiting area during the Mid South qualifiers Thursday with a camera crew to do interviews. Everyone I was standing near ran off, and after my interview she asked aloud if anyone else was up for an interview. No takers. Their losses. They ran the Mid South semifinal first. I attended that, and they didn't NDA the unpaid audience members, but my NDA still applies, so I can't divulge results. As for the Midwest semifinal, that's still in progress. They said the audience members for that needed to be back by 2am local time (just under 2 hours prior to this post). EDIT -- Oh, and it was great meeting you, thebra!

The 5th obstacle was brutal on both days (Both the curtains in Midwest and the Rope Junction in Mid-South) Although I did go on a bit of infospam mode there didn't I? Stuff is easy to get lost in those... SEE! *runs away*

Not sure if mentioned before, but some guy in LA failed the Warped wall and got 32nd, so they probably don't have a full set either

Here's what I got SMFers:
Only for the mid-south region: They had much better results on the warped wall than yesterday and just the course in general. I think out of the 30, roughly 20 to 25 made it past the warped wall. Completion of the course was an automatic in although not by much. I think about somewhere in the range of 11-13 cleared.
There were a few salmon ladder fails. A decent amount of globe grasp fails. A couple, like maybe 3 warped wall fails and 2 failed obstacles before the warped wall.
So I don't have anything on the Midwest and no times but this is better than nothing. I'd expect Paul Jake Brandon Alan and probably Ryan Hall from Apex to have made it with a decent mix of newcomers.
