Thank heavens Lee doesn't have to compete. Let's hope it's a serious trial and they get some good competitors. Being Taiwan, I can imagine that transsexual host Super Soaking bikini girls as they go through the First Stage's Jello Pit.

So far no news yet other than they are hearing that spots are limited (they are not going all out like ANW but so far on paper mimicking Sasuke Trials in Japan). Their deadline so far is still July 1st (meaning very shortly since they are almost at midnight in Taiwan). Hopefully we'll hear stuff soon.

I haven't heard anything in the past month. I do hope they still have it... Nothing on Lee's board either .. seems he doesn't know. No dates either. The only thing I heard was "closed set - limited people". Seems what most are complaining about most is that there is no airdate on Sasuke 25 rather than people complaining about the Trials.

DITTO! Finally...no one in Taiwan can complain of an unfair system anymore or jealous of Lee. ironic how GoldSun seems to be doing a better job than JET used to. ;D

Thought I'd throw my two cents in....I like the rest of you have been waiting for any info on the trials as well as SASUKE 25. Stil nothing! I sometimes watch Gold Sun TV with my family and I've seen zero ads promoting SASUKE. The only SASUKE program they have ever played so far is SASUKE 24. At least JET TV had a different SASUKE every weekend and sometimes other M9 events. But GOld Sun has not had 1 minute of programming sine airing SASUKE 24. I really hope this changes soon...

Wow trials back in Taiwan? I'm sure they will find some talented athletes from there to show their talents on Sasuke! IF it's still on that is. I've seen ZERO info on the trials or SASUKE 25 and I usually watch it each day. I hope they didn't run out of funds or encounter difficulties with 3rd parties (arsenette...cough). Hopefully, like with SASUKE 26, we hear st soon.

OK tired of this....I'm going to attempt to send a message to Lee En Zhi this weekend (in Chinese) to see what he knows and if perhaps we can meet up for a coffee in Taipei. I'll keep all of you updated...

As do I, he seems to be the only one who knows anything and even that is not much.

OK, I thought I'd post what I learned from Li En Zhi here since it applies to the state of SASUKE in Taiwan.
Basically, Li said that Golden Sun TV decided not to pick up SASUKE 25 because it was too expensive to purchase the rights from TBS. As well, the channel decided not to have any trials in Taiwan. Sigh..
Basically, this means that Golden Sun is no longer going to air any SASUKE programming (not that they aired much anyways) and we currently have ZERO SASUKE coverage in Taiwan as JET TV no longer airs any SASUKE programming. With the trials not even happening, this pretty much ends all speculation about the state of SASUKE here IMO. It's done!
I doubt very much that any other TV station will purchase the rights for SASUKE 25 due to the ridiculous price to purchase the rights to air it. I don't really blame Golden Sun - what other TV station would pay such an exorbitant amount to show a specialty program like SASUKE? I totally put the blame on TBS and M9 for basically killing off the show here and ultimately in Japan as well.
I had a feeling that this was going to happen, but was still hoping for some good news. We haven't had much lately, and with Yuuji saying that there was no date for SASUKE 26, I think that this may be the end of SASUKE for good.
Thanks to Li again for sharing this information. I feel bad for Li and other Taiwanese who were hoping for a chance to get on SASUKE 26. I also feel bad for all the fans here that have enjoyed SASUKE over the years. Sad day...

On one hand I want to say that it not being in Taiwan anymore doesn't mean it's over in Japan.. But then I considered something.. That IS a bad sign.. Less money being spent back into Sasuke means less motivation for them to consider they're making a profit.. Hell.. JET/Golden Sun are the only other people besides TBS to show the original broadcasts.. G4 is pretty much the primary buyer (How many countries are just getting 21 or 22 now?..) and does TBS make profit from selling the "Ninja Warrior" versions anyways?
And while I do seriously feel bad about the people in Taiwan who are big fans that can't get on (I know the feeling.. I'm too young to go through G4 by a few years..) but I got to feel bad for Lee/Li/Whichever is the right spelling (On one hand I want to go with what you say since you are from Taiwan so you know the language but he had it the other way when he showed up to the 25 stream (Man I bet he's glad he did...)) for all the people who are still probably mad at him since he gets to go but no one else there does..
Man I'm getting worried about Sasuke now..
