I guess this means 10 people are going to Japan. 11 if you count Kevin.
I can't believe they would give so many spots for G4.

Thank you so much chris!!!
Wow, a lot of answers are here.
Well, it seems like the video submission is secondary and anyone can go and compete.
Oh boy, 10 people are going...I've said before that this isn't going to be a good idea in terms of the broadcasts, but at least most of ANC big names will have a good shot at making it and competing.
Plus, the line that says it is the second week of September seems to fit perfectly with the Sept 12 taping date.

Four days of ninja stuff! They better make a show out of this. Maybe an entire Attack of the Show special, or a G4 Special Road to Ninja Warrior or something, then followed by the usual ANC stuff so they can spend that one focusing on the 10 who make it. Who knows. 10 people! It looks like G4's really pulling it out, probably with the Venom sponsorship stuff. And probably because of Team G4's record (one person to make stage 3 once and one other person to make stage 2 with everyone else not clearing stage 1). I hope this 10 will end up including any of the other guys from ANC2, the other guys who only had one chance at the course (Colin, Mark, David), and especially "finalist schminalist" Strat and anyone else would be fine. If they're interested of course. Because every time I see Colin or Mark's run I always think "Awww... poor Colin" or "Mark". David's done fine, so I don't think anything, but anyway, I wonder if Levi will have to try and compete to get a spot. And If you're under 21 you should try and run it as a dedicated fan trying to get some experience or something. If they let you, then who knows, maybe they'll even feature you on whatever they plan on airing. That'd be pretty sweet! I just checked the Ninja Warrior page g4tv.com/ninjawarrior/ and it says, "With a contingent of 10 American competitors being assembled, it's your best chance ever to tackle the world's most difficult and diabolical obstacle course" so with this, the info from the pilgrim-films page, and the G4 TV announcement they do during the commercials, it really sounds like they're taking 10.

YAY OPEN ANC 4 TRYOUTS! Wait... didn't ANC 4 happen already? ANC 5 Thread has been fixed. I have contacted G4 via E-mail to confirm if those under 21 but above 18 are allowed to try the qualifier. I will make a post when a response has been recieved.

WHERE: 2861 Los Feliz Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90039 (In the lot behind Best Buy and Babies R Us. Follow signs from Los Feliz Blvd.) Why would G4 pick this location? I mean ANC2 was a park for their course. and NF4 was a beach.. But behind a shopping center? that sounds like a place to make a drug deal.. not a TV show

Hmm has anyone considered if they are going to take the 10 and have them use the Sasuke Trials course they will be building? Just a thought. I still find it odd that there will be more then 10 going to Japan..
P.S. Where did this information come from anyway? I don't see it posted anywhere and to my knowledge no one else has gotten emails regarding that.

Oh boy, 10 people are going...I've said before that this isn't going to be a good idea in terms of the broadcasts, but at least most of ANC big names will have a good shot at making it and competing. I think this is because it is the last ANC that TBS is allowing and so they are making it the biggest. and Holy s*** did they manage that one. I remember when I thought during ANC2 that 3 people going was more than enough, because the time before that I thought Brett and Colin was suitable. But after I saw that ANC3 brought 6 representatives, I thought TBS (assuming they were the ones who decide how many may qualify for the trip over) was way over their heads. Here we have the over compensation of ANC3, multiplied by two. But I guess once we get to see the majority of these American guys (and probably gals) do the course, these will be some good times because I don't think this decision really outrages anybody.. does it?

So this is the last time TBS is allowing an ANC? I hope that doesn't mean that means TBS is thinking of ending Sasuke . And when ANCs are announced that's usually when we find out about a new Sasuke.. But hey.. At least they won't send another 10 people again.. Although since theres 10, all you forum guys who have been entering all of them and keep missing, hope you guys finally make it

I have a big problem with this. I'm sorry. While I like the idea that people like David will most likely get a second chance. For the people that don't do well, your going to be digested or cut by TBS. So, it really is put up or be shut out.
Then, with G4, it's going to be non-stop G4 people. Anyone that goes far that is not G4 will get short changed. I can see it now, "Next, [insert name here] battled all the day to the Gliding Ring, but mistimed his jump and fell into the water below. Then, [insert name here] attempted the Third Stage, and cleared!!!." Now, let's see what crazy thing Kevin P. is doing!"
Besides all that, I do feel happy for the winners that get to compete. With 10, more than likely multiple people will clear Stage 1, and thus maybe one or more will make it to the 3rd Stage. So it will be cool to see how they do there.

Until there is a verifiable link to information I am only treating this as rumor.

There is so much information floating around now you just dont know what to believe. If it's not directly from TBS/M9 then I won't buy it.

If 10 of the best competitors go to Japan then fine. As long as it doesn't take away spots from other worthy competitors and Kevin and Olivia aren't participating. I guess if TBS/M9 allows this, then so be it.

(Can ya blame me? XD) ...for Ryan, Ruselis, David, and Myself at very least.
