According to Armchair Ninja Podcast, Noah Kaufman did not receive an invite back.

I'm wondering how filming and the course will go if this torrential downpour doesn't stop. Because it's not supposed to anytime soon...

Weird situation. I know exactly NBC's stance on this, and they do not know what he is doing. He just applied and is going for it. Hopefully he can slide under the radar! He was invited as would another other Japanese competitor, not as a foreign. NBC will allow 1 or 2 to compete at sasuke this year, but they must be invited and picked by TBS and given the OK by NBC. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission? Maybe?

Judging from Perry's vid that Inui tweeted out, we know for sure it was a female and that it was quad step related. I'm sure it will come out soon if it was an international competitor.

I always assumed that this is the same thing that happened to Brian Orosco, aka Mr Ninja Warrior lol. Found it hard to believe he just quit. Except Brian wasn't even making it out of qualifying. Side note in the wrong thread, excited he met with the Finding Midoriyama guys this week!

I found Challenge network thru one of the add-ons on the Kodi app for my Amazon Fire stick, but it won't load. Of course, I'm also a moron and brand new to the fire stick so I really have no idea what I'm doing lol

I expect to see him try and come back by ANW 10. He'll be making amends when he fully realizes he only won about $650,000 after taxes and he's traveling the world, living it up. I don't see Sasuke happening. Heck, we don't even know if Drew is going back after the argument he had last year and if TBS is holding a grudge. I could understand if they did. I'm guessing they don't want any more controversy.

What Wolfpack podcast did they talk about Isaac? It was within the first 5 mins of the most recent one, with Sean McColl.

After he won, I was thinking he may not come back. He's a climber and conquered his mountain. Then the interviews popped up and i really figured he was done. I actually feel bad for the Wolfpack crew. They took the high road on their podcast, but it sure looks like he used them just to make himself better.

Rebroadcast of USA vs. World on Esquire. May be everyone's last chance to see Isaac Caldiero. Wolfpack podcast confirmed he is out of ANW 8. But would be open to going to Japan to "dominate their mountain".

Soooo technically NBC aren't doing it to spite Japan, just because they have a quite a large event to put on, a schedule to follow etc...? Was that what you were saying? It's complicated.. Japan is dealt with very differently in Vegas. Competitors and even the production crew treat them nicely.. it's NBC corporate that does stupid things to them. This has been happening for 3 years and I don't expect it will ever change. That is a problem within NBC and the Japanese competitors pay the price. Fans at least have found a way to get close to them away from the set but it's not like it is with anyone else. The worst was the first year (USA vs. JAPAN) where they were removed from the set when people wanted to take pics with them.. The last couple of times they just had them busy around town and away from the strip to keep them from seeing fans instead of the first year where they were relegated to the hotel room for 4 days.. It's still bad but they've learned to work around the restrictions. Look, they aren't happy either, but they are only there at the behest of NBC so whether we like it or not, they are beholden to their hosts. That is so disappointing for the guys. In the meantime, Drew's Instagram page is full of stuff like this (really hope tapatalk doesn't make these pics full screen...)

I live in Indy. Really curious where they will film. Angry side note, I will likely be driving to Florida the nights they are here

That really was a great episode and Bijan touching on why Japan has struggled here was nice. I would love to see a more neutral site used for the ANW vs special. Something like a newly designed course in Hawaii, where everyone is flying and no one did the same course 24 hrs earlier.
One note that no one else has mentioned (that I've seen) is something said on the 1st Wolfpack podcast. Isaac Caldiero told them he's done competing. They all think he will change his mind but it's interesting that we may have seen the last of him in ANW on the special.

Hate to scare ppl who don't like the format as much, but on the new Wolfpack Ninja Podcasts, it seems like their thoughts are that the Team format will eventually take over and phase out the regular ANW show. Flip Rodriguez in his interview thought so too. I like it but would be disappointed to see the traditional show go.

I'm watching the 15 min or so preview of ep 2 and I can't believe the number of spoilers they show in the clips at the start. Really hurts not to have past highlights to show. Some big name spoilers.

I always wanted to be a fly on the wall at NBC when Brent and Kacy showed up in X-Warrior. They prob gave them permission but it just seemed so out of the blue to the online community with zero fanfare or notice. Giggles. They went on their own. They didn't ask permission at all. NBC didn't even know about it. Oh. Oh wow.....that's.....awesome!! Lol
