He didn't hit the last blade on the bridge of blades. At first I thought he stepped in the center at the start but I'm pretty positive he missed the last step. I just came here to ask the same thing. So you're actually required to touch all four steps? It's not up to you how you get through the obstacle?
Also, at the end of stage two, the result was first shown as 2-2-1, then 2-2-0. Did they take away a point from Japan, and if yes, why? Thanks.
The tournament dictates the rules. ANW allows a lot more improvisation/short cuts than other shows. In individual runs during Vietnam, they one-sided the steps on stage 1. In the tournament, everyone had to touch every step at the start. No clue on the scoring though, I started skipping around lol

They could try to promote Yusuke as the new face of Sasuke, and hype up his return after missing a tournament. This. I think they will really hype of the return of the reigning champion with all the bells and whistles. "The Champ is Here!!"

Why did David get disqualified in stage 2? He didn't hit the last blade on the bridge of blades. At first I thought he stepped in the center at the start but I'm pretty positive he missed the last step.

Just finished watching Heartbreaking seeing Nagano just miss the buzzer At one point i thought some competitors would be allowed to re-run because of the moisture issue I like Drew, but why does he come each year ? not fair on the others Without the metal spin and unstable bridge, stage 2 was a waste of time Stage 3 was cool, Drew was great Drew's results get him invited back each year. Historically, I believe making Stage 3 was an automatic re-invite, though that may not be official. Had he bombed out on stage 1 a couple years back, he wouldn't be there. The ASEAN cup win was his backdoor in and he's succeeded each year.

That was really beautiful. I can only guess they cut all of it due to pacing concerns. But that was a mistake. I think having that could have eased a bit of the anger over the rest of the show. It was different and a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank goodness it was released online.

Last year it was Dana Linn Bailey, probably the most popular fitness competitor/bodybuilder in the world. Her fans are....nuts.
On Instagram alone she has 1.6 million followers and she's been known to have 12hr long line waits to meet her.

For some reason they are going to be moving up an hour for next week. So ANW will be on 9/8 central. Wonder if that'll do something. Live Olympic swimming trials are on at 8.

None of the American post-Kane have had the effect on the show, positive or negative that Kane had. He was the king of Kinniku Banzuke-era SASUKE. If no other American returns, it's just unfortunate for that person, there's no long-term damage. Kane never coming back hurt the show. His last tournament got a 25% in ratings. It dropped to 19% in 9. You can combine the ratings for the last two tournaments and you don't get 8's ratings. No one who has ever competed in Sasuke had the star power like Kane at his peak popularity. And even looking at results, he's the only American to clear Stage 3 in Japan. It's a shame Kane never got due credit in the West. This. I'm a big fan of Drew's, but Kane's impact and success trumps all of that. Even if Drew won, I think I would still go with Kane based entirely on his impact on the show.

I was so afraid David was going to fail after the fiasco this year. And I called the Brent and Kacy thing a months ago. You could tell on their social media pages that they weren't together and we're sharing custody of their dog lol What exactly was said? Because in Sasuke they were announced as husband and wife.. LOL Brent basically announced in his fluff piece that they had broken up. They are still friends and business partners as they run their gym together. They still train together, although it's not as much as the show presented. He actually said "train together sometimes" but they glossed over it and just showed them training. I think it's been around 6 months or so but they didn't say. You could tell on their instagrams they weren't a couple anymore. They were rarely together and often not even in the same state for long periods of time. I put together the shared custody thing with their poor dog. I'm super stunned at the husband and wife thing lol. That had to have been a major miscommunication through a translator. Would have loved to see the looks on their faces.

Hi, another quick question regarding the actual live broadcast. At approximately what time does it air in EASTERN TIME (I live in Indiana so I want to know how early/late I should wake up) They still haven't officially posted the date and time. I'm also in Indiana and Tokyo is 13 hrs ahead of me, being in Eastern time zone. So for us, it would be a very very early live stream viewing.

I feel like if this were a video from Inui, you would hear Asa and Drew off camera vomiting uncontrollably and Kanno sniffling along with them.
