May I suggest that you use thw voiceover girl a little less? It gets a bit awkward at times. And don't say anything positive about ANW here, or else you'll soon have people giving you 50 reason why ANW is the devil or some other crap. Also, did you like the USA vs Japan/The World specials?

Yeah, I only used the girl so much in the beginning to introduce the joke. I think I'll keep her for the intro and outro, with possibly 1 or 2 somewhere in between. No more "conversations" for sure.

It should be safe in the ANW specific forum shouldn't it? I did see someone catching hell in another section for daring to mention the silk slider. :-)

I loved the USA vs Japan/World. I was really hoping for Japan to do better though. It was hard to watch at times, particularly when they had Stage 3 finishers and STILL got locked out of the points.

Hate to break it to ya, but it HAS been proved that USA VS The World was rigged. Japan should've won both 3rd stages, but they changed it so USA and Europe would tie and they could have a final stage.... Think about, Matatchi Ryo (second to clear the 3rd stage) had a time of just 3 and a half minutes in USA vs Japan at the Flying Bar, but in USA vs The World it magically took him over 7 minutes to get back to the same spot...

Really?! That IS disappointing.

Is the time that it took the only proof? I'm assuming there is more. I'll start digging through the forums.

I get that the show is meant to be dramatic, and it can be over the top sometimes. But outright changing the results is a bit much.

The show always edits out them resting between obstacles. It happens on every episode.

Not to unnecessarily plug the podcast again, lol, but I brought it up during Dustin McKinney's run on the Best of 2015 episode. He was at 7:40 when he got off the globe grasper, but 9:20 when he started up the invisible ladder. There was only about 10 seconds of show time between those two events, so they cut over a minute out of him resting.

I'm still slogging through the old threads to see the evidence.

Btw noticed that there are quite a few episodes up but not posted here. Try updating the first post with the links to the episodes (and titles of the episodes) so people know when they are updated? Usually people find it easier if there is one thread that encompasses everything and they can check week after week (or however you update).

People should really check out the Matt Iseman interview. It disscuses most of the things people complain about here and on social media. Like the use (or overuse) of fluff piece and sad stories, A little bit on why Sauske and ANW have gone on different paths and the controversy about how ANW 7 ended and other intresting topics.

Yeah. I wish the interviewers knew more about this part of history because I would have pressed him about current history. There's one thing to build in the USA because M9 was gone but completely another to abandon Sasuke after the transition was made. He doesn't touch that at all and that's of bigger interest to us who miss the show here in the USA. I wasn't surprised that he doesn't see why there's such a controversy with the final simply because he doesn't see the error they did in editing in that finale. Still though, I'm very happy he is emphatic that there are two champions regardless of who got what monetarily. That's at least comforting to know that he will be talking about that whenever he's interviewed.

The full post (which is long.. they don't call me Rambling Rican for nothing) is here. The topic itself is really interesting though and I'm curious what others think of it.

Well this is a topic that comes up often and usually not addressed so I thought it would be important to bring it up since he at least lays out his argument succinctly in the podcast. I don't agree with his conclusion (trying to get NBC to make him a celebrity and pay him as one on a reality show) but still worth discussing since it's relevant. Reminds me of the whole amateur vs. professional argument in Olympic sports and whether or not they should get paid.

Also, on the topic of this week's podcast, I love hearing new people's take on old Ninja Warrior (this time being 23). Now you have to go back and watch the rest of the tourney.. someone VERY important did better than the Americans there.. you.. have to see it..
