Thanks Kane and bedankt Perry.
I will find Delano on facebook and get the lowdown. I can also check sponsorship options as my company is interested in that too.
Ps are you still working in Purmurend Perry? Really need to make the drive up as there's not much in Den Haag yet.

Hey guys,
Anyone ever entered this in the past?
I would like to enter next year, hopefully they will have a Masters (45+) event.
Is it easy to get selected if they only allow 60 competitors per category?
Is there a preliminary contest to select the 60?
Is it fun / worth the expense?
Any tips or tricks or other comments or advice you can give?
Cheers everyone

Overall a very good season 2 but again with the dqs and strange timings/rules meaning some genuine qualifiers got knocked out in all the stages.
Stage 1 a little too easy, stage 2 should have had 15 seconds more on the clock. Feel sorry for Ashlin and Rob who had to run in the rain, you saw it on the unstable bridge with Rob and Ashlin got rekt in the spider jump.
Iron out the little issues, lose the BOB and we have a real good show on our hands.

Keep it as it is. While the top ninjas have no trouble with it, it is still a big part of training and an achievement to beat it during training. It is iconic and should remain.

If they make any changes for season 2 (4) then I would cut the show down in size. Apart from that I think the format worked very well this season.
32 teams only and no play offs.
8 episodes in round 1 4 in round 2 2 semi finals 1 final
Actually scrap that... I would make one MAJOR change... Scrap USA vs World, move NvN to NBC and make it international.

Good final and shame Tim just didn't make it to the rope. Maybe the Nagano grip is something he can work on?
Would like to see a stronger set of competitors next season by which I mean getting in touch will all the previous top competitors early as well as trying to target more legitimate athletes, climbers and parcour athletes. There are a few ninja gyms in the uk now as well.

I also hope they don't do the whole format of finals etc. One off episodes yes but I do not approve of all these exploitation shows like voice kids where there is so much pressure etc

I won't be watching it but hope it does well and they don't milk it too much. For the longevity of ANW as a brand they need to be very careful with it as they are targeting the future ANW generation.

Anyone know if therr is any doping testing at ANW? On the one hand it is not an official sport but on the other hand a million bucks in prize money...

I loved the bootcamp episodes but I cannot see how it would fit in to this day and age. The only way I could see it working is a European bootcamp with 20+ competitors competing for 10 Vegas spots.
It could be done, in Germany perhaps who have the best spin-off courses, peoduction team and show popularity. There would be enough Euro tv stations to make it viable and enough Euro ninjas of a good enough standard to add something to ANW finals.
But that is never gonna happen so perhaps we should just look back fondly at boot camp and see how far some of the ninjas have progressed over the years and enjoy it for what it was at the time.

I would make it to - and fail - the jump to the chain on level 1.
Ask me again in 6 months, it is a long road back to fitness for an old man.

Am I the only one asking if they should try making some obstacles safer? Like jeez the amount of injuries per episode is mind boggling Stomach Churn is ripe for a broken leg at the very least. Most of the bashes and bruises are part of the fun but they need to be careful of a serious injury.

Oh and for the record your assumptions are generalisations are very ill informed and naive. The only people interested are those wanting to become famous? That is ridiculous!!!
ANW inspired me to get fit again. I joined a bouldering gym and will be visiting all sorts of other gyms, ice climbing, jump gym, ocr gyms, etc. The idea of getting fit and strong using only your own body weight really spoke to me.
My goal is to first be able to clear 4 obstacles, then be able to clear the first 6.
I have no interest in being on tv and if the only option for me to be able to test myself against a course (no ninja gyms in Holland yet) then I would do ninja warrior nl but ask not to be featured if possible.
Do you think I am alone in the world on this thinking? Did all the climbers and parcour guys all start their passion because they knew in the future there would be this new show called ANW? If so then give me their crystal ball.
Of course a lot of people are sold by the reality tv brainwashing that is crippling our planet. But these are the minority.
The future will happen mate, it is inevitable.

Like I have said, it just needs a little vision. You are looking at ANW alone. You have to look beyond the current situation and look at future possibilities.
Ninja doesn't need million dollar prizes. Look at how darts, cricket, even climbing have evolved recently. Forget about reality tv.

You make some good points Arsenette but I think you are wrong about the key point. Yes Sasuke has had 20 years and not gone professional but that was before the major global interest and in a very different era. ANW has changed the landscape and alternative media has opened new avenues as has the online marketing and sales opportunities.
There are more and more ninja gyms opening around the world and the Wolfpack are leading the way in taking events away from television.
All it would take is a Barry Hearn type to get involved and the sky is the limit. The infrastructure is already in place for a global set of tournaments, sponsors are ready to jump on board. Perhaps Europe needs to lead the way initially until NBC totally destroy their franchise.
But mark my words, in 10 years time it will be a fully fledged sport.

I think the NBC cash cow is distracting most people from the greater future of the sport. Vision, contacts and some cash is needed in Sasuke making the next logical steps which are already being hinted at all over the place.
I am talking of coursr about it becoming a full blown sport with local competitions, national competitions and an official world championship.
The interest is there within the ninja community. Countries are trying out world competitions. The national ninja league is growing and there are exhibitions selling enough tickets to make it financially viable.
KuroOvi has taken baby steps away from traditional media and both Sasuke and ANW are shown all over the world.
Netflix have a popular international competition.
Semiprofessional ninjas being allowed sponsorhip deals, or full time ninjas as some are now...
Maybe only the finals will be prime time tv but they will sell around the world.
ANW days may be numbered (US tv stations being so fickle and nbc are over milking and not being at all strategic with scheduling) but the long term future should be much much brighter.
