Hey guys,
Anyone ever entered this in the past?
I would like to enter next year, hopefully they will have a Masters (45+) event.
Is it easy to get selected if they only allow 60 competitors per category?
Is there a preliminary contest to select the 60?
Is it fun / worth the expense?
Any tips or tricks or other comments or advice you can give?
Cheers everyone

Pretty sure it's a first come first serve sign-up but I'm unsure if they have separate rules for international sign-ups.
Pretty sure a handful of the expenses are covered (hotel I believe is included), so the real hassle is a plane ticket.
The prizes if you make top 15 is qualification for the NNL finals which is AWESOME. If you win, you get a free spot to the following year's Barbados Ninja Throwdown as the defending champ.
The course itself is a little shorter than an ANW City Finals course, and if you're there to compete of course you gotta be confident or you came to run for about a minute lol. But judging from other stories of competitors, they do a lot of sightseeing post-competition and it looks really nice.
They love Wingnuts, Nunchucks, the Salmon Ladder, and the Warped Wall. Balance is a bigger part of it than other places around the world so if you're quick you shoot much higher on the leaderboard even if you fail.

Reach out to Delano Hinds(the organizer and a ninja) on Facebook. He will answer any questions that you have about the competition, how to sign up, hotel and transportation arrangements etc. It is first come first serve. Most likely the cap will remain at 60 again, but who knows! The sooner you book flights for Barbados(highly recommended) as no one has done it yet, then you guarantee yourself a spot on the competition(and sightseeing post comp with all the ninjas) and there will be 2 ninja beach houses available. Transportation from airport to beach house and back plus beach house to the event location and back will be provided too.
Good luck everyone and get your flights sorted asap as 2020 will be an insane year with more epic obstacles and a crowd of 3000-5000 people cheering you on! Come for the competition, come for the fun! It's a win win whether you do great or not on the course as there will be training at the ninja gym Fit Pro there. And hanging out with international and babarbadian ninjas exploring the island.

Thanks Kane and bedankt Perry.
I will find Delano on facebook and get the lowdown. I can also check sponsorship options as my company is interested in that too.
Ps are you still working in Purmurend Perry? Really need to make the drive up as there's not much in Den Haag yet.
