Agreed. It would definately just be nice as... like you said... Let Monster 9 still accept applications just like normal, but G4 can still run their own competitors. Their part of the prize for winning G4's competition is free tickets over the pond, guaranteed entry, room/food, etc. That way we can still have our own chance but pay for it. Like I said, I'm just agreeing with what everyone else has already said

Obviously they can chose to not pick any Americans at all if they chose to do that but at least they know that the entries are disproportionate and not all encompassing like the M9 application is. I said a few times.. people like Michael Milner or even UNCLI kids (like Matachi Ryo) wouldn't even be allowed in the G4 process much less win. Hopefully they will at least keep that in mind when they decide to close all American entries.

Don't any of you think that maybe they were looking for an excuse to shut the door on the Americans after the fiascos of Levi and Olivia and G4 just handed it to them and they dont even want to think about changing?

Nah not from my experience... the door was shut before Olivia and Kevin and Levi from Sasuke 21. In fact WHEN Olivia and Kevin started to take up the spots (and they gave G4 6 spots total) the door was shut and people were getting emails that they are going through G4. Since then there has been quite a bit of backlash thanks to the internet and them publishing their email In all honesty though - except for the hosts I haven't had a major issue with the people chosen out of G4. It's the process that's retarded. It changes EVERY TIME.. we don't even know wtf they are doing now.. and besides.. the age restriction will still be there. If some kid wants to go, have their parents pay for it and M9 invites them.. LET them. Same with a 50 year old with abs I can bounce quarters off.. I don't want G4 blocking applications because they are G4.. I mean good grief.. more than 3/4 of this country doesn't even GET the damn channel.

2 reasons why it will probably stay shut.
-It's just easier this way; less mail means less hassle.
-It's likely fairer this way. Why give the spoiled American kids two chances to get in when the natives only get one?
Yes, we know the horrible truth about G4's contestant selection, but them's the breaks.

-It's likely fairer this way. Why give the spoiled American kids two chances to get in when the natives only get one? .. why 2? As of now there are no chances for anyone under the age of 21 to enter who just happens to be American. By your standards if we have a Matachi Ryo in this country he doesn't deserve to be invited by M9.. That's .. retarded.. As for G4 effing with greatness.. Sasuke has existed with the same set of rules for 11 years.. here comes G4 and now you bend to them? NO other country has these restrictions. Why the hate?

Decided to make a small list of Japanese kids who can't make it to Sasuke if there was an American equivalent in this country:
Shunsuke Nagasaki Takamasa Nagasaki Kota Honma Matachi Ryo Plus a host of other kids who qualified through Sasuke Trials..
As for older gents: My favorite.. Kenjiro Ishimaru

Say I'm 24, in good shape, and have $3,000 to burn (at most two of those are true). I notice Monster9 is opening the cattle call. I write a fluff-filled letter and a DVD of my exploits. All well and good, yes? Now say G4 opens up it's ANC contest. Being the shrewd gentlemen that I am, I submit a YT of my aerial acrobatics and nerdy adventures. (A different video than the one above, btw). I have now effectively submitted two applications to be on the show, one more than any Japanese person would presumably have the right to. Is that fair just because I'm an American with money? I don't think so, and I'd have to think that if M9 didn't force US apps to go through G4, I wouldn't be the only one trying to exploit this. You could easily have a crowding out of Japanese participants by an extra 50-100 or more American applications thrown onto the pile.
"Fair" does not mean the same as "proper" or "good". All it means is that I have 1 chance, the same as you or anyone else. If you don't like what G4's practices are, get a lawyer familiar in ADEA cases and sue for age discrimination. Maybe you can throw in a bit of Title VII, too. It may be frivolous, but there have certainly been dumber lawsuits, and I'm betting Comcast wants nothing to do with court.
Also, it's not like Monster9 haven't done special region- or profession-based trials before, and we can probably throw in Muscle Musical, too. Preferential treatment is everywhere, so if you really want to complain, complain to all parties.

Hey In Japan they have a buttload of options outside of this. They could try out through trials or other events (Just listed the MRT one and they have had things like Maguro Festival, Bug in Miki, etc.) that run on TOP of the other events like Sasuke Trials So that's not not what I'm aiming at. I'm aiming at making sure we go back to the old system where M9 picks whoever they want without interference from a company like G4.

I agree, make sure everyone gets ONE chance, at least to me thats most important to me. If some people have multiple angles, then so be it, but at least then we're excluding as few as possible.

I think I'll alteaslt try to apply through monster 9. I mean, it can't hurt right? I have enough money to make the trip and I would be glad to spend it if it meant getting onto Sasuke.
Obviously the chances of getting on would be quite low but there' sno tmuch else any americans under the age of 21 can do.
=p
Maybe if we get enough americans to send vids to monster 9 atleast 1 of us will be picked.

I find that not having a girlfriend is also a good way to save money. Not that I don't have a girlfriend by choice...... Damn.

I don't have a girlfriend, I have a wife. And 2 kids. So I'm always broke And they're not even teens yet So, who thinks Live Station or TV Ants will actually be working at the time of Sasuke 23's broadcast? Cuz watching 22 on Keyhole was like trying to spell names after someone puked up a can of vegetable soup.

I'm calling it here -NAGANO and YUUJI in the final stage you heard it here first folks. I want to say that too, but with the 1st stage the way it is and the new Slider Jump, anybody can fail it. It could be all new competitors to the 2nd stage, but picking Nagano and Yuuji is a good bet. I'm waiting to hear confirmations before I make predictions.
