Are any of you guys having trouble uploading your picture on the submission page? I keep clicking the link to choose an image and nothing happens. I opened up two browsers and had difficulty on both, but my primary browser suddenly got through. Maybe restart browser or try opening it in another.

Tried it on Internet Explorer and was able to open it. Thanks for the advice!

That looks nuts. Do you at least get to hold the bar with your hands? Also the dismount seems dangerous as you're potentially diving head/neck-first into the landing platform, depending on where you are in the spin and when you dismount. Other rollers (Rolling Log, Rolling Escargot) have an easier bailout from a premature dismount. Seems like most contest entries and all the winners were strictly upper-body-based. Would be nice to see a lower-body or balance thing next time.

You don't need the crossbar. The compression of a person's hands and feet are enough to keep the walls rolling together. The crossbar just makes it dangerous (if someone falls when they are upside down their head is hitting right into it. Also, what software is that? Sketchup?

I should have added that drop off platform that the RL and RE had, but the momentum from how much speed the walls would roll could make you dive far enough to be safe from a hit. Don't worry, this isn't purely upper-body based. I'll try to do a lower-body/balance for next time.

After thinking about how it'd work in real life, yes. The crossbar was unnecessary a bit. As long as the siderails on the tracks are high enough, then it would be enough to keep it together. I simply used ROBLOX Studio to build the obstacle.

Hey everyone. Last year I entered a balance obstacle (picture below) that made it to the editor's choice but wasn't chosen. I really like the idea and I'd love to see it on the show. Do you guys think they'd accept a revised (notably a safer, easier) version of this obstacle or would that be pointless because they've already rejected it once before?

It seems like it could be better and safer if modified

Do you guys think they'd accept a revised (notably a safer, easier) version of this obstacle or would that be pointless because they've already rejected it once before? How about having the support beams holding the obstacle from underneath rather than from above? That way competitors won't run into them and knock themselves out. And just having one is too boring and similar to the balance bridge, I suggest having 2 of these tilt tables consecutively, perhaps with some sort of gap or hurdle in between them. And take out the mini green boards that flip individually, that's too much. Just have the big table tilt, nothing else.

I'll once again be entering two more ideas for this contest. The two which I'm most considering submitting are those pictured below (in spoiler tags due to size--- take note, to anyone else sharing large image files here of obstacle ideas). What are everyone's thoughts on these ideas? Swirl Unwind (couldn't think of a better name ) Hand Bridge

What are everyone's thoughts on these ideas? Swirl Unwind (couldn't think of a better name ) Hand Bridge Hand Bridge is awesome. Of course I see the inspiration from the Drum Hopper, and I think that's the best way to take this obstacle on (hopping as opposed to walking). I would almost even add a sloped portion but if they chose it they might modify it. Great job! For the Swirl Unwind, do you have any clue how that will be built (materials, etc)? Is it going to be a bunch of bar segments jointed together or like a flat stiff tape-like material. It seems like it would be super tricky to build and super hard to reset. But regarding the idea, I really really like it. I think you have a better shot with Hand Bridge. I'll be rooting for you!

Swirl Unwind could be called the Chameleon Tongue haha *Chameleon Tail The hand bridge would be an interesting tricep obstacle. The first one seems a bit too similar to Rolling Thunder though.
