Craig Charles or nothing for me from past experience most programs ITV sign are generally on a 6+ week basis, they rarely do one off shows so if I were to guess this would be qualifiers plus a finals course but although lack of asking where you are from on the application could also mean just one final. Basically I have no idea, but as it's with ITV it is likely to be pretty well invested and they more than have the funds for a full course and if they expect their typical ratings of 7 million + I expect a big style course, Total Wipeout only used to draw 5.5m if that's any comparison.

Craig Charles out of those already mentioned would be more suited I think , having done the voiceovers for Takeshi's Castle, or maybe even Jim North given that he's revoiced all the Challenge Sasuke/NW runs so is already 'associated' with NW - wether they want to ignore that or not is another question of course, maybe not a big enough name for a mainstream ITV show.
Hard to think at the moment who would be suited to presenting/commentating on it actually ..

whats wrong with ant and dec? a couple of newcastle fuds tbh with you, phillip schofield is better sticking to this morning and the cube. i say keep jim north as far away as possible. keep him on bbc afternoon soap doctors. as i am scottish i would prefer a scottish presenter lol. but craig charles is the main person to host the show as he did takeshi's castle on challenge, the other one i would go for is brain blesset or bamzuki brian as a few ppl on here will know him. but no doubt it will be handed to ant and dec

As its a two person commentary team and ITV it more than likely will be Ant and Dec, with someone like Ashley Roberts doing interviews probably, depends how big they wanna go but if they wanna go big then these three will probably be chosen btw Pictures of them:

They're big into sports and they can really elevate the show. The problem would be costs if getting them, but as seen in ANW, the hosts are pretty much the production costs, so it can't be too bad for them to get hired as hosts.

Only in the UK would a fight over who will be hosts be the predominant conversation. LOL I think only 1 person said they'd enter as a contestant? LMFAO

LMFAO Well I don't live in the UK but I know how much having a bad host can wreck a show. Especially over there. I just hope it's a success, but ITV usually makes good shows so hopefully this is also one.

I'm a Celebrity has Ant and Dec and draws 8 million plus a week. big Brother which is the nearest thing has crappy Emma Willis and draws 1 million a week. In the UK the host is as big of a part of the show as the show itself, therefore to be successful in the UK it needs a decent host or is doomed to fail Also I guess this will be staged in either London, Manchester or Birmingham. Or they could be awesome and host it in Derby so I don't have to catch trains all over the country

Manchester would be good (he said not at all biasedly....living in Liverpool)
I went for a walk this afternoon along the local 'nature trail' type affair, where they have some pull-up/chin-up bars of 3 different heights. Someone in the know explain why I can do 5-10 pullups at home with only fingertips for grip (it's on an overhang above a staircase..), but when I tried on proper bars with full grip, I struggled to do 5, and progressive attemps got less and less (obviously getting tired..)
Kinda made me think "hmm, should I really apply", but then after that I still come back to "well, why not at least try"

I'd be a good host cos I'm Scottish lol Craig Charles is a comedian and the show is taken seriously so he doesn't fit. Ant and Dec have done shows with high stakes (e.g. Red or Black? and Poker Face), and can handle the pressure. People are forgetting some others like David Croft (Sky Sports F1 commentator) and Martin Tyler (Sky Sports football commentator), they are experienced commentators. Speaking of the course it should be Qualifying, Semi-Finals (extended Qualifying course) then 4-Stage final. This is my vision of the course: Qualifying Course1: Godantobi 2: Rolling Maruta OR Log Grip 3: Yureru Hashi OR Cross Bridge 4: Jump Hang OR Spider Walk 5: Circle Slider OR Jumping Bars 6: Soritatsu Kabe (ANW Height, 3 tries) Semi-Finals Course7: Salmon Ladder 8: Arm Rings OR Arm Bike 9: Cliffhanger (3m long ledge (3cm thick) 10: Spider Climb (30ft) Finals Course1: Step Slider OR Jyunidantobi 2: Rolling Escargot 3: Spin Bridge 4: Jumping Spider 5: Half-Pipe Attack 6: Soritatsu Kabe (SASUKE height) 7: Slider Jump OR Flying Chute 8: Tarzan Rope 9: Rope Ladder TIME: 105-125 seconds -------------------------------------------- 10: Downhill Jump OR Slider Drop 11: Double Salmon Ladder 12: Unstable Bridge 13: Balance Tank 14: Backstream (SASUKE 30 speed) OR Metal Spin 15: Wall Lifting TIME: 85-105 seconds -------------------------------------------- 16: Rumbling Dice 17: Curtain Cling OR Lamp Grasper 18: Floating Boards OR Devil Steps 19: Crazy Cliffhanger OR Ultimate Cliffhanger 20: Swing Circle (4) OR Chain See-Saw (4) 21: Hang Climbing OR Vertical Limit 22: Spider Flip 23: Flying Bar OR Pipe Slider TIME: N/A -------------------------------------------- 24: Spider Climb (13.5m) 25: Tsuna Nobori (10.5m) TIME: 30 seconds

For the record Dom, I (HunterUnit751) will be applying to compete, if I don't get it i'll at the very least do everything I can to go and watch, in terms of details of what the obstacles will be, how it's set up in terms of qualifiers, where it'll be and who will host it, i'd say that:
Obstacles could be any era but will probably be Shin-Sasuke of some kind, will certainly find out as dates get closer and more info is released
I think for a first season they'd probably just run a finals course and pick between 75-100 people to do it, cause like if they show every run in some form plus stages 2, 3 & 4, it will probably take 6 episodes, if that's how long the series will be.
In terms of where it will be I actually think London will be too difficult to actually find a location, so i've got my fingers crossed on Birmingham, but wouldn't be surprised if it was in Manchester.
As for host, My heart says Craig Charles but my head says it'll probably be Ant & Dec
As for my application am gonna assume they email you details and then it goes from there, will try to use my wikipedia of sasuke knowledge to my advantage and get some kind of training regime going to boost my chances. Plus if anyone is kinda thinking should about whether to do it, I would say just go for it; if you like the show and it would seem like a fun thing to do I think that's all that matters (As long as you don't fail the 1st obstacle)

Thanks Hunter

Pfft, even if you fail the first obstacle, at least you can say you've done it That's the sort of thought I'm aiming at (tho of course I'd hope to get past the 1st obstacle!) Just recovering from 6 days of grim misery & pain from a dental abscess (yuck..), so just starting to get back into the mood for starting training (for Novembers Urban Attack initially, then of course Warrior UK got confirmed..)

About time too! I have registered! Just managed to make the age limit also.
I competed with team NWUK during the Urban Attack obstacle race that took place on the 29th of Novemeber 2014. Scoring a semi final finish in the sprint event. My sporting life revolves mostly around trampolining.
