Curious if they are going to change format a little to respond to some of the criticism of the first season.

Good to see that a few of the classic Ninja Warrior obstacles will make an appearance tonight. I thought they had toned down difficult obstacles for the UK version but turns out they were just saving them up Of course we can't really know what these athletes are capable of but I'm betting on Tim Shieff to go furthest tonight.

So any predictions for tonights final??? Just by looking at the teaser and the fact that the final is just one episode most the competiors fail the first stage including Katie who probably failed the slider to rope obtacle judging by the trailer with only Teige, Corbin and Tim Schiff getting to the second stage with Tim getting the farthest but did not win but I might be wrong on all accounts.

Hiya I was there for the finals so I can let you in on that. Initially there was going to be 10 people in the final. However as people did so well and they really wanted Katie in the final and there was only 6 clears in the other heat, they switched Katie around to the other semi to take up the 7th spot and then there were 3 additional people who also got into the final. So if it wasnt for Katie only 10 would have reached the finals course instead of 14. Btw if anyone wants to know the course I can say it as we have the video now so it's not super Spoilery, I'll stick it in Spoiler tags just in case though Stage 1 Quintuple Step Pipe Slider Jump Double Balance Bridge Windmill Thingy (2nd obstacle ANW6) Jumping Spider Warped Wall Chain Cross Spin Bridge 15ft Spider Climb Stage 2 Rope Maze (1st obstacle ANW6) Salmon Ladder + Unstable Bridge Doorknob Grasper Wall Lift Stage 3 Floating Boards Miska Cliffhanger (I call it this as I think Miska had some part in developing it, either way it's a beast) Flying Bar Stage 4 20m Rope Climb (Woman tester tried this, she got 11m up in 50 seconds then couldn't make it any further ) Also look out for me and Hunter, we are on the first row on the very left of the stand behind the Wall Lift in Stage 2

I didn't really watch the series but I'll probably just watch the finale just to see what it's like.

This really sounds like something ANW would do lol All these new countries picking up Ninja Warrior seem to screw *something* up...

It will be interesting to see how they edit the final compared to watching it live Also what the clock will be like as these stages are all timed

I hope people realize that Katie really did complete the course and the story is not claiming otherwise. However like earlier press releases revealed the intention was that only 10 people would have got to compete originaly that would have created an all male final however as gt4dom revealed by bringing Katie into the final and changing the rules of the game also brought in 3 more competiors with her.
Also for a women to go this far in the first season of ninja UK when it took 5 seasons for even one women just to make it to make to the semifinals in ANW is pretty impressive. Although I did notice there were a very large amount women that got to compete in ninja warrior UK compared to ANW or other spinoffs and higher percentage than Sasuke ever had.

I think the reason they did this is simply because the British public would not have taken well to an all male final. Other countries are accepting of the fact that women don't usually do so well but I think over here certain people would be making sexism claims left right and centre.

I think the designers messed up when they built the Salmon Ladder and the Unstable Bridge Salmon ladder swung like crazy and the chains on the unstable bridge were way way WAY too high up, but it was still an awesome experience getting to go and was so cool seeing it in real life ^^

Wow another one!!! "What is the point of #NinjaWarriorUK if there's no winner?! Should be based on who gets the furthest in the shortest time." Lol

Tweet in the spoiler sums up the UK right now!!! Seriously the British public need to get a grip and realise that you only win if you beat the whole course, not by making it the furthest. If you don't like it, don't watch the show instead of complaining to ITV that he didn't win. Rant over.

People like a winner in UK Society, on everything there always has to be a winner Anyway Stage 2 was stupid, 75 seconds was way too short for that course, 90 seconds would have been way fairer. In reality Teige ran last and he only failed because he spent too long on the UB and he rushed the jump so he could make the time limit. But yea it was crazy as hell Also that cliffhanger looked awesome in person even though we got no one attempting it ^^
