About the celebrities, I don't really care unless they are the names I know (like Tomoko Kaneda or Kota Ibushi in 31 for example)
Felt bad for her though, she threw me kinda surprised when she appeared on the show.

okay thinking bird i think if the cch is still there then someone gets to the last obstacle of stage three and fails or makes it to final and fails but if there's a new cliffhanger then i think the tournament ends at the new obstacle

I wonder if any SASUKE Vietnam competitors will be invited?

Still depressed over here that it won't be a full renewal

Well she is married to Mori who is a former Sasuke competitor and tied to TBS through Sports Danshi.

I agree with the above poster that considering we don't have a full renewal on the way, assuming people make it that far, the new Cliffhanger (if we get one) is where the tournament ends. I would actually be disappointed if that ISN'T the case, considering that has been the tradition now for the past three renewals and the last 14 tournaments.

They should just scrap the Cliffhanger in general. There's nothing exciting about watching people fail it anymore. Even the UCH had an exhaustion-sets-in feeling around it which made the stage seem daunting, but the CCH was one ridiculously hard jump (on a 3cm ledge, no less).

I'll be happy with a tournament without the Cliffhanger if they came up with something else interesting. If it was something boring people will feel cheated so I think until they get a budget where they can rework everything we may be stuck with it. We'll find out in 3 weeks.

Inui isn't like Higuchi about things being super secret, he'll probably reveal something. Also it's this forum, he could take a random stage 1 picture and we'll look in the background and then post a zoomed in shot with the CH circled

Hell I was quiet as a church mouse.. got back to the hotel after taping day 1 checked my phone and all of the new obstacles were revealed along with the names of the 100 competitors. I was stunned! LOL It was like 3 hours after the end of taping Stage 2. Dude was on his phone it was hilarious.

Yeah I remember being at the ANW Pittsburgh Qualifying, Philip had the entire competitor list pulled up on his phone and we were reading during one of the times they were working on Snake Crossing. Just a reminder about that, the Pittsburgh dates were on the same numerical dates as 31 was taping, so this was the same morning on the day before stage 2 since this was like 10 AM japan time

Then all of a sudden.. boom the whole thing was published.. pics of the obstacles and everyone was losing their crap. I was cackling because I was suuuuuuuuuper careful and here they are spoiling their show 6 weeks before eventual airing. Then again.. it's their own show so they can do what they want, but hell I suspect that we should get "some" obstacle construction soon since it takes about 2 weeks to build.

I just hope it isn't like Indonesia, which could have been a really wacky course that surprised anyone, but instead generated 0 shock or hype because every obstacle was known before it started airing. Imagine the rabble if we didn't know there was gonna be a pegboard. Or domino hill. Or anything along those lines.

To be honest, I know everyone will not be happy since that is literally impossible. Just in this thread there are opposing views so someone is going to be pissed one way or the other. LOL I'm just looking forward to show and pray that enough people are passionate enough to turn on the television to raise the ratings of this show. Otherwise it doesn't matter what is ON the show if people don't WATCH the show.

I agree they should do something about the cliffhanger soon. Lately, Stage 3 has been "Cliffhanger and Friends". Introducing the VL was a step in the right direction, as it's another place people could fail. But it's still just "Cliffhanger+VL and friends". I'd be down for harder other obstacles and easier cliffhanger, or just get rid of the cliffhanger altogether. It is really iconic and I would miss it, but it would be for the best. Same could be said about the Warped Wall. Just my 2 cents.

LOL If he had his way it would be gone but there was a revolt when the mention of it came about. I know they said they'd rather get rid of the cliffhanger before they get rid of the wall.

to be fair I wouldn't mind the vertical limit taking the Cliffhanger's place since they're both pretty similar in what you have to do.
