Thanks for finding the pics! It looks like a lot of fun. Would be a total waste to not air it.
Change the .ae to .com if anyone's getting messed up by the links.

My theory is that the event went really well and NBC thought "Hang on this is a really good concept, we could make a series out of this"... and a few months later we get Team Ninja Warrior. Still want to see this special though. Looks unlikely.
EDIT: Interesting choice of teams from Matt and Akbar. I assume team USA were ineligible.

Joe wasn't meant to he on Team USA originally, he stepped in for Geoff if I remember correctly. That might be why.

Wasn't this based out of popularity only? Kinda the point of the "All-Star" moniker? My guess why they aren't showing this is because they are changing their image now. Promoting an All-Star group will lock them into a set of competitors that they HAVE to invite every year. Personally I don't think it matters since NBC is going to find a way to cover up anyway. I agree with those that find it shocking that after all of that money spent in redesigning a full course, hiring commentators, rental fees, camera crew on a full night's event and NOT show it.. that's just crazy. Personally I think people will love it. But given that we are only a couple weeks away from the start of the NEXT season, this special may just be lost to memory. Unless they somehow have this thrown in during an off week.. it will seem odd and out of place to show it now after a full year has elapsed. Makes no sense to me.

It's so stupid that NBC haven't even bothered giving a reason why it wasn't aired either...

Wonder no longer!
The Skills Competition, as it is officially called, will air Sunday, May 29 on NBC! (I would guess at 8 PM EST)

This is idiotic from NBC, they need to promote this in some way, at least on their twitter, in the next few days or no one is watching it.

It's going to be aired.. at this point it's a win for the community. I was prepared to never see that thing with how much they delayed the living hell out of it. It's a Sunday.. the timeslot is irrelevant.
