Is this tournament even confirmed, or is it still up in the air, in might happen, might not territory? I think it's still the latter. SASUKE's still pulling itself out of the hole so I'm guessing if 32 gets good ratings then it's on. Then again I've been wrong before...

It's confirmed to be happening but the timing between the countries, licenses, etc. is not set yet. Refer to what I mentioned before about format differences (provided that is what happens in the end). This is still in the organizational stages but it will happen. Definitely after Sasuke 32 and after Olympics (that is screwing with a lot of the scheduling since it takes place smack dab in the summer and TBS is one of the official Japanese stations for it).

Okay, that makes sense. I figured it would have to be after 32, but I totally forgot about the Olympics getting in the way.

Any other year we wouldn't have this issue.

Rebroadcast of USA vs. World on Esquire. May be everyone's last chance to see Isaac Caldiero. Wolfpack podcast confirmed he is out of ANW 8. But would be open to going to Japan to "dominate their mountain".

Interesting development on that political nightmare... Isaac will still require NBC cooperation to enter Sasuke 32. I'm not sure they would do that given that he is snubbing NBC. Passing popcorn ya'll.

I think it's safe to say as hardcore Sasuke fans and Geoff supporters we would be none too happy after the events from last year to see Isaac in Japan.. but that would be a political shitstorm if that happened given what just happened with NBC. Either way, this particular discussion doesn't quite belong on this thread outside of the last time we may ever see Isaac on a prerecorded show.

This, no way should they send Isaac and not have Geoff go as well Rebroadcast of USA vs. World on Esquire. May be everyone's last chance to see Isaac Caldiero. Is this just a "f**k you I got your money, I'm the champ I'm out" kind of thing or was he held off the show because of his behavior or something completely different? May be everyone's last chance to see Isaac Caldiero. Wolfpack podcast confirmed he is out of ANW 8. But would be open to going to Japan to "dominate their mountain". Would LOVE to see that jerk crap himself once his hand touches the 3cm CCH Can't say I'm a fan of his behavior regarding the situation and can't say I wouldn't be happy to see him fail after that but I don't think he cares if the CH ledges are 3CM...

I doubt the story is public so I won't be the one to out that. I'm sure once people start talking there will be a thread up on the ANW8 forums since he will be absent from that!

I don't want to make another thread but yeah, I think Geoff should be the US rep if there even is one in 32.
I have no idea why the hell Isaac quit after winning. Nagano didn't quit. Yuuji didn't quit. Akiyama didn't quit. Morimoto and Geoff sure as hell aren't quitting.

Anything else should be in it's own thread on ANW8. Please.

It's gotta to the stage where it is cringeworthy watching Team Japan, i feel so sorry for them
The fact is in just about all sports today, a great big man will beat a great little man. Team Japan just lacks size.
A good analogy is Muay Thai. Thais invented the sport and dominated for decades because they had the skill and knowledge advantage. Then along came the dutch who once they acquired the necessary skills and knowledge started beating the thai's regularly because there were bigger and stronger.
Fact is the hardcore ANW group in the USA take ninja competitions more seriously now than anywhere in the world. Issac winning a million is just going to help attract even more great athletes
so will we see Team Japan again ? or is that it ?

When did Ian and Morimoto go on stage 4? It was after the competition had ended. I was told it was mostly due to last year being so staged for a Usa against Europe final stage.

Did you click links to the blog I linked to? Check the last one... I go through painstaking detail. Seriously.. it gets frustrating when someone new refuses to read the full thread then ask for the tldr.
