Just speculation here but I think that's so the dirt/sand all over that lot didn't screw up any traction on the shoes before running As for jumping down to Roulette Row after the Butterfly Wall, there's padding there (one of the standard thickness ones, not one of the half thickness ones), that stuff really does work, trust me I've jumped/fallen onto ANW padding enough to know that lol

They actually were there throughout ANW7, they were just easily missed by being under the felt instead of exposed black pads on top

What I don't like about ANW is how their overall treatment of Japan gets worse almost every year... think about this: In 2009, 2010 and 2011, ANW basically presented itself as a gateway to Sasuke, acknowledging it was inferior and holding it in high regard. Guest appearances like Yuuji happened because G4 respected the competitors. In 2012, the decline started. They went on about "last year at Mount Midoriyama" when showing Sasuke 27 footage, basically saying that now THEY were the REAL MT Midoriyama and that Japan was no longer needed. Still, Nagano made his way down and it still recognised Sasuke as essentially an equal. In 2013, they made much more of an attempt to avoid mentioning Sasuke, beginning the process of erasing it from existence in the minds of Americans. There were no guest appearances, few allusions to Sasuke and in USA VS Japan, the Vegas course was presented as the "real challenge", now showing Sasuke as the inferior show. In 2014, things went from bad to worse. They went from simply short changing Sasuke to actively working against Japanese competitors, cheating them in USA VS The World (even though that was technically in 2015, but i'm going by main seasons) and referring to Sasuke essentially 0 times. Series 7 and USA VS The World Two is when things took a nose dive. Not only do they now pretend Sasuke doesn't exist (completely erasing it from the American public's eye). In the international specials they show the Japanese to be bad-intentioned, completely inept and having almost no achievements to their name by leaving out key details. Americans are now the best, the only ones worth watching, whilst Sasuke is easier, with worse competitors. It makes me really worried for the future. I couldn't agree with you more. NBC is damaging the image of SASUKE and it breaks my heart Hang in there, pal; I know life is difficult sometimes, and passions help us fuel ourselves a lot. You will always have ups and downs in life, however, I guarantee you it will get better ^^. Have a great day .

See I had assumed the Psycho Chainsaw was named that since in ANW3's finals (Sasuke 27) broadcast they referred to the Chain See-Saw as Chain Saw (despite the fact no one in ANW made it that far), it felt like a spinoff of sorts so I assumed a connection. Then again even going with G4 that theory is pretty invalid since in the Ninja Warrior 27 version the obstacle was referred to under the correct name, then again that might be from subbing over dubbing lol

If I were I'd invite Americans and other internationals again

Gonna hate to see this end because we simply know what's about to happen... Also Solitude, how does this relate to this again?

Solitude has a learning disability -_- He's not entirely aware of his surroundings As supremekai typed, I have high-functioning autism. It can be trialing at times, however, a advantage at another end, because of having a intense thought process. I used to have a account back in 2011, and 2012, and changed a lot since then. Although I may be having important related things coming in a few months, as I am pursuing education, I'm keeping it important to learn how the forum works more. In short, I do not want to clog any of the forum. I apologize if I couldn't answer fully ( \ _ / ).

You forgot to mention the part where NBC won't even let the Americans socialize with the Japanese. WHAT? WHEN WAS THIS? Standard practice every year they are there. The ANW competitors though have been pretty stealthy getting to them away from set though. But once they are on the lot they are on lockdown.

So they literally just have someone there, patting them on the shoulders and going BAD, YOU DON'T TALK TO THEM!? How is this legal, isn't it restricting freedom of movement. And don't they have like breaks or free time on the lot?

It is technically a closed set and NBC rules over that. As far as they are concerned, Japan was flown over to compete in the event, not for a fan meet and greet.

Soooo technically NBC aren't doing it to spite Japan, just because they have a quite a large event to put on, a schedule to follow etc...? Was that what you were saying?
