Just pointing out the Japanese perspective. Believe what you want, just saying how they saw it and believe to this day that Yuuji got screwed from getting that since NBC didn't build that damn course in 27. TBS did and NBC didn't pay a dime for "their" show.

If they don't split the prize money then that sucks. Also unless they are equally seen as champions, that sucks too. If they both beat the course time limits then they have beaten the course and should both be rewarded. Seriously if this turns into a competitor vs competitor deal then screw this company. SASUKE was never meant to be person vs person, so if thats what this turns out to be then I will be seriously raging. Also lol as a ANW casual I know neither of them, but for them both to first time Stage 4 the time limit must have been too high... Your ANW Hater Dom If Stages 1 & 2 were 2:30, then I'm guessing Stage 4 was 35-40 seconds; way too lenient.

I'm assuming the final stage was 40 just like they've had it set at when testing in ANW 4 and 5 and confirmed in USA vs The World for season 6

Can anyone tell me if this Isaac fellow is a good guy? The kind that would give 1-200k to the other winner?
1 million is a hell of a lot of money for a guy thats probably never earned more than 50k in a year, and I see no reason why he shouldn't donate some to the other guy.
My only other worry is that this big prize money is gonna keep tainting even the purer competitors. Even if you just want to compete, that prize is always gonna hang over you, especially as none of the Ninja's are financially well off

Isaac has no moral obligation to give a dime to Geoff. As stupid as it is, the rules are the rules and Isaac won the million fair and square. If we're going to be mad at anyone, be mad at NBC for making stupid rules.
Also bear in mind that Isaac lives out of a van and will probably only ever see half of it once you consider taxes.

The time limit for the final stage was 30 seconds. No one thought there would be a finisher when we heard that. Geoff went in 29.65 and Issac in somewhere between 26-27.

I can only attest to how he treats certain people close to him, which I wouldn't consider kind, as I don't know him personally. Wouldn't a "good" guy instead give 1-200k towards a non-profitable organization instead of someone who knew that they had to get the fastest time to be considered champion? All of us know the terms/rules going into this competition, especially this late in the game. Not giving someone, who didn't meet the requirements to be declared the winner, a fraction of their prize money shouldn't be a factor in labeling someone as good or bad.

How did the vets go? (Campbell, McGrath, Rosen, Drechsel, Steffensen etc.)

I'm assuming NBC gave the cash prize to whoever completed the Final Stage the fastest, which is a shame because completing the 4 stages should be a race against the course rather than a race between competitors. I know NBC gave out cash prizes during qualifiers for the fastest finishers and I have no problem with that since competitors there are trying to prove that they're more capable to run the Finals course than the other competitors.
Anyways, it's nice to know that the Final Stage's time limit wasn't nerfed.

How did the vets go? (Campbell, McGrath, Rosen, Drechsel, Steffensen etc.) Not results just my opinion: No offence but I couldnt give a crap about these 2 winning/ 1 losing despite beating stage 4 which is still utter crap. I only care about the ANW originals as I call them (Drew, David, McGrath, Flip, Stratis if he still runs etc) as these are the only ones I really care about and feel like I know and understand. When I have barely any time to get invested in someone, when they win I dont feel super happy for them. when Nagano won after 9 tournaments of investment I was like this guy deserves it and felt super happy for him. I honestly couldnt give a crap about these 2. And the fact that the course got buffed and then beaten kinda makes it a joke for ANW8, if you see the big balls and the stratospheric cliffhanger in next years Vegas I wouldnt be surprised Basically screw NBC, 'Murican Ninja Warrior and the total spirit of SASUKE in America. It is a lost hope for a friendly competition and a friendly event. On a side note thank you for the spoilers, sorry I am so salty over them To be fair these two guys train very, VERY hard in their own respects.

{Spoiler}can't wait to watch how things went down. Is Isaac's time a world record for stage 4?
also, can someone share what happened to some of the other strong competitors? thanks in advance! this place rocks!

I mainly root for the pre-ANW4 people also, because there's a better chance of them being ambassadors and proponents of SASUKE, instead of them primarily being rock-climbing, or whatever, promoters.

Techinically the time world record is 24 seconds set by Kazuhiko Akiyama in Sasuke 4.

Technically Sasuke/ANW time records count for time remaining because of changing time limits, Yuuji having 6.7 seconds left technically is the record

hmm, i wonder if akiyama could have done this final stage 20m rope climb in 30 seconds, considering he had 6 seconds left when he reached 15m.

Mathematically, Akiyama, had a faster pace than Yuuji when comparing Sasuke 4 and 27, but not by much, and it probably would even out if Akiyama had to go the extra 5 meters that Yuuji did. But not as fast as to what I'm reading about this tournament. If he trained for this pace when he was younger though, possibly.

If ANW is consistent with most NBC reality competitions, then it's probably a $1 million/40-year annuity like "America's Got Talent." There are a bunch of articles mentioning that AGT winners usually get offered around $300,000 (pre-tax), as a lump sum instead of the annuity, and that lump sum ends up at around $200,000 after taxes; I wouldn't be surprised if ANW were the same way. (If David Campbell, Brent, Paul, or any of the other SASUKE veterans got screwed like this by NBC, I'd be screaming bloody murder, but I don't even know if these 2 guys could even name or recognize all of the kanzenseihas off the top of their heads, so it's hard for me to get angry at NBC over this.)
The problem with ANW is that it became almost completely corrupted and bastardized once it went full-time on NBC. The producers are gradually phasing out the SASUKE veterans, and replacing them with more reality-TV friendly types. I would expect more showboating, more grandstanding, maybe even more trash talking in the future, and fewer and fewer SASUKE fans.

Trash talking in American Ninja Warrior would be hilarious.
