Personally I think anyone who completes Stage 4 has beaten the course, and that- not being the fastest up there- should be the objective of the competition. Geoff went first. Isaac was the fastest. Both those things should be irrelevant because they don't change the fact that both athletes did what was thought by many to be impossible. Honestly, I think Sasuke has always been about Athlete VS Course, not Athlete VS Athlete. And Geoff's victory didn't really affect Isaac's victory or vice versa. They might as well have done it on two separate years. Having said that, it's entirely NBC's problem to sort out, and not at all to the fault of the either competitor- I really don't see why Isaac should be obliged to split the prize, and Geoff would have won the million on another day. Isaac just happens to be one of the only athletes in the competition who could have gotten up that rope faster.
tl;dr- Isaac deserves the prize, but both deserve the title.

Very much agreed. I think the past few pages of discontent came from that article that had an interview with Isaac saying that Geoff didn't deserve anything and only Isaac is the ANW champion and no one else. I think those reading only the past few pages are having issues with the article on top of what's going on in the ANW Facebook. THAT place is hostile and all kinds of wild stuff is going on there. Most of us here are long-time Sasuke fans who saw the birth of ANW and I think by this point most have been at one point or another been on the show. All have read and signed the NDA and were privy to the rule so it didn't come as a surprise. The only points of contention now are Isaac's comments and how poorly NBC handled the situation.
