I knew ever since last year that Isaac had a shot at winning it all I'm happy we finally got a champion. But I'm curious if they are going to declare Geoff a champ too since he technically beat the course even though he didn't win the money. I hope they don't Chack him and not call him a champion as well... Congrats to both!

Way to go both of them! I thought after stage 1 last night this would be the year! So happy the drought is over after six years of ANW, and if you count ANC nine years!

Didn't I say that was going to happen? I knew that was going to happen. I HOPE this is good news for Sasuke. Now that they have a champion (well.. 2) they can now NOT be a**es to Sasuke and Sasuke fans and share the spotlight by allowing Sasuke Rising to be shown here. I was always under the impression that because they were so desperate to have something of their own, now that they have it, they won't be a**es to everyone else. May be wishful thinking but this could be a good thing for fans of both shows. Regardless, it's great news for long-suffering ANW competitors who worked their a**es off training for this always evolving course.

For the record I'm not in Vegas nor was I. And I'm pissed the time limits were super lenient.

ANW vs. The World is important as well. Wouldn't put it past them to be upset that even after a US winner, they couldn't win the exhibition.

a winner? It's actually possible?! but... why does it not surprise me that one will probably walk away with absolutely nothing even though he did it...

I hope NBC gives Geoff some sort of consolation prize. That's a total d*** move for him to clear all 4 stages and then have him walk away with nothing.

Or are you specifically referring to NBC's prize? That was never up for grabs for Japanese competitors and was an ANW-specific prize.

{Spoiler}Huge congrats to Isaac and Geoff!!!!!!!!!!!!
They achieved what many thought impossible. A good reminder to never give up on your dreams.
Also, both of them are great climbers doing V13s + , those who predicted climbers will finish this thing one day were absolutely right.

I was referring to the NBC prize since they used the Sasuke course for that event causing much confusion among the Japanese competitors of the same event. It was only after that event did they make Las Vegas. We've been through this before, was just pointing it out saying that NBC has screwed people before out of prize money so I'm not hopeful for Geoff sadly.

If they don't split the prize money then that sucks. Also unless they are equally seen as champions, that sucks too. If they both beat the course time limits then they have beaten the course and should both be rewarded. Seriously if this turns into a competitor vs competitor deal then screw this company. SASUKE was never meant to be person vs person, so if thats what this turns out to be then I will be seriously raging. Your ANW Hater Dom

{Spoiler}I'm so excited, it sucks that we can't openly celebrate this and have to be all secretive about it for a few months.

The prize money was never on the line for him. NBC put up the $500,000 before they even knew SASUKE 27 was happening. Look at it this way: Yuuji didn't have to go through 2 qualifying rounds and 4 days of boot camp to win the prize.

No, the $500,000 was only on the line for people who competed in ANW, he bought a spot and didn't compete for it, while it was a G4 promoted spot that was part of a japan disaster relief fundraiser so he was never an ANW competitor, he would have won the same 4 million yen Yuuji won
