{Spoiler}not one but two Americans finished the whole thing after so many years(fair to say equally difficult as Sasuke) and some people here focus on complaining than celebrating. Come on.

Come on. {Spoiler}The complaint seems to be that this show doesn't know how to reward it's champions, unlike Sasuke which doesn't have an arbitrary 'one-winner-only' rule. I understand of course that the rules are the rules, but for a show that likes to glorify its competitors so much for ratings there isn't a lot of reciprocation when it comes to rewarding for good results. It strengthens the divide between the two shows on a fundamental level and, on a forum with the words SASUKE and MANIAC in the title, what else can you expect?

Sub 30 second final tower climb is other worldly.... To have 3 seconds remaining on it is inhuman. If there is an ANW8, obviously they will buff up stage 1, 2 and 3. Stage 1 was basically a speed course, but had a 2 minute and 30 second time limit. That's unreal. If it was 1 minute and 45 seconds I doubt anyone would complain it being too strict. The race against time is what makes competitors fail, not the obstacles themselves. ANW, You have a winner, go back to it being the toughest course in the world.

Congrats to Geoff. I hope NBC would allow multiple winners next year.

If multiple people completed all four stages in Sasuke in a single tournament what would happen money wise would they split the cash or would only the fastest get the money there's no precedent of this happening so this is new territory if happened in either show.

The condition was if you conquered Midoriyama then you won a million dollars. The fact that Geoff received zilch is just wrong, for all you law guys out there there could be a potential claim for Geoff under the Carbolic Smoke Ball Case but Im not going to go into that At the end of the day if they still move forward with them both as champions I wont be too annoyed, if they say Geoff isnt a champion despite winning then screw them. knowing NBC they will say he timed out by 0.33s to add drama and to reduce fan backlash.

So how many people attempted the final stage? Just Isaac and Geoff or others? Both of them were on my list of potential finishers (Isaac, Geoff, Kevin Bull, Joe Moravsky, Brian Arnold, Drew Dreschel, Brent Steffensen) so I'm super happy someone finally conquered it. On another note: Do you think this means a redesigned course next year? Personally I doubt NBC would do that.

Sasuke has a much muuuuuuuch lower prize. They don't split it, each person has the same amount of money and they award it twice. It's already happened before in Kunoichi.

The fact is that all depends on how the show spins the result. They could declare Isaac 'winner' of ANW7 and for all future seasons refer only to him as champion, or they could go the nice route and say that both are co-champions but the money goes to Isaac who did it the fastest. I just don't want to see Geoff get swept under the rug compared to guys like Brian and Joe and the lot who get all the hype because they're 'better for TV'.
It would be absolutely bonkers for them to make Geoff's storyline next season "he came so close to being ANW champion, this season watch him try to go one step further."
Also, if Geoff clears the tower first and Isaac beats him afterward, and they do not call Geoff "the first American Ninja Warrior" but they say that when Isaac clears, that would be disappointing.

There's a slight problem with that, in the waiver/nda/overall rules agreement you sign when you compete it specifically says only the fastest person to complete all 4 stages at midoriyama will get the prize, ask anyone who competed (there's plenty of us here) and we all can tell you the same time, we knew this could happen before we're even allowed to run qualifying, even if someone was just going to go to qualifying and fail the steps they know you have to be the one fastest person on the final stage to claim the monetary prize. And on top of it being in the paperwork, they've said that every tournament since ANW1

{Spoiler}yes, if more than one contestant completes stage 4 the contestant with the fastest time wins the prize. It's clearly stated. What you sign also states that the producer and network reserve the right to change the rules at any time

I wouldn't put it past ANW to make someone who defeated the course out to be a "loser." I'm keeping my expectations low.
Did ANW actually manage to run the finals this year without any shenanigans? No improperly inflated landing pads? No non-clear clears? No fudged finish times?
