The Walking Bar was still an absolutely terrible idea (although it's better than the Hourglass Drop... barely). But, at least they don't have a stupid "can't use your feet" rule for the rope (looking at you Bungee Road). I disagree. I think it was perfectly fine. The flying bar is a staple and it's just a modification of that. That is my thought it is just a flying bar variation which has been around a long time

Now that I think about it... ANW Logic: > Makes really hard Walking Bar, makes it easier because testers fail it > Bring back Cannonball Alley, one of the hardest obstacles in ANW history
I guess in all fairness, most gyms have some variation of Cannonball Alley now though.

Cannonball Alley didn't do the damage it did last year, last year it was so surprising since the majority of the competitors didn't know what these obscure Atomik Hold things even were except for possibly the avid climbers and didn't know how to handle them. This year the majority of competitors who would have made it there I assume have tried Atomik holds or Three Ball Climbing (I.E. essentially the same but cheaper) holds in some form so there isn't that surprise factor anymore and most people know not to try to use the Lamp Grasper technique on the larger ones

With the raised platform I believe pulling a kevin bull is called "Paralyzing yourself" . Also they probably added a rule against it anyways this year EDIT: I feel this is relevant on the subject of if someone tried to pull a kevin bull on it with the raised platform

Law of Sasuke Maniac Forums: The number of posts in a thread is logarithmically proportional to the likelihood of a thread devolving into professional wrestling discussion.
Er, sorry Vince. "Sports entertainment".
There's a very large gap between hard and too hard. Cannonball Alley was hard. Walking Bar was hard but the original was too hard. Also, let's not forget that Venice always gets the crazy hard courses because ATS wants to test things that end up being way too hard for their own good.
And also, after Atomik holds showed up in every region, people trained the crap out of them over the winter. At this point they could do whatever they want with Atomik holds and it wouldn't phase anyone.

It'd be a pretty short thread, and then it'd devolve into professional wrestling discussion.

I agree, but I think of all the Venice courses, ANW5's was the most asinine. The Frame Slider and the Flying Nunchucks were the worst of it.
