Nothing of me got shown again They showed a clip of the runners faces at the beginning of the show don't know if you were one them since I don't what you look like. How did you do anyway? Ok they showed my face for about half a second at the beginning of the ep and I was in a few crowd shots here and there but thats it. I failed the cargo crossing so actually ended up doing worse than in qualifying.

I was just happy to be there and to get to experience it all first hand. It's just a little disappointing when they you know that they could very easily have showed all 30 competitors in the finals by giving us guys who got cut at least a fast forward but instead they decided to hype other competitors with extra profiles and interviews. It's not that big of a deal to me but I just wanted everyone I knew that was rooting for me to at least get to see me a little bit on tv is all.

I'm just not happy with how difficult these City Finals courses are. We've seen an average of 2 people clear in the 3 regions and each region has featured some obstacle that is near impossible. I miss seeing success of about 7 people as in previous years and honestly its just boring seeing competitor after competitor go out. The Vegas First Stage will be much easier and success in qualifying simply does not matter anymore.
Rant over

Have they gone overboard because there is more talent and they are trying to balance it and they are struggling to find that right mix of hard but not over the top hard. Like Vinice was more bad obstacle design imo where Kansas City looked to be a mixture of that modified body prop being so brutal and mix in rain.Houston looked like a lot of people just struggled with the technique on the bar and over or undershot

That walking bar was a terrible idea. It involves too much luck.

Other than a few crapshoot obstacles (Hourglass Drop), and bad luck with weather, the obstacles and their level of difficulty has been fine. There's nothing wrong with 2 clears per city final. It's supposed to be hard.
I also liked the walking bar obstacle. It's a little luck-based but not completely. Isn't that one of the things we love about Sasuke? Same can be said about Flying Bar.

It's like the Flying Bar with a little added difficulty I sort of disagree, both of those could be learned to a degree, and all things considered, most ninjas did well on them, even if they didn't make it all the way. They were nowhere near as bad as the Hourglass Drop trampoline in Venice. That will go down in history as the most poorly designed obstacle in ANW history. It wasn't even a bad idea - just the wrong kind of trampoline to put there.

At least with the Flying Bar you didn't have to worry about pushing one side too hard (although you did have to worry about keeping the bar even).

Congratulations to all the finalists!
I saw Sam sann's run on esquire website. Really great job, only worry is, how will he handle the time limit in the finals.

With all that space the rope took up, couldn't they just have made it the flying bar anyways?..

I'm actually liking the riskier decisions the course designers are making with the city finals courses. From a logistical standpoint, it makes much more sense to test out the difficulty of some of these wackier third stage-esque obstacles here than at Venice, where a bad obstacle decision could ruin an entire tournament.
I'm not saying that the obstacles have been stellar, I just like that they are choosing to try some new stuff where there is less risk.

Makes sense, people were struggling with it as is anyways lol.

The Walking Bar was still an absolutely terrible idea (although it's better than the Hourglass Drop... barely). But, at least they don't have a stupid "can't use your feet" rule for the rope (looking at you Bungee Road).

Wow they did something smart when and obstacle is way to hard

The flying bar is a staple and it's just a modification of that.
