Half the reason for wild cards is to get girls to the national finals. That Tough Mudder girl who made it to the 4th obstacle is getting a wild card. Some of the girls who made it to the 3rd obstacle last week are getting wild cards. Michelle Warnky is getting a wild card no matter how she did in Pittsburgh. Meagan Martin and Jessie Graf are getting wild cards even if they fail the steps in the city finals. That's how they get girls to Vegas. Kacy is the only girl to legitimately qualify for the city finals yet they have 10+ girls in Vegas every year. Realistically nobody is going to beat the course anyway so who cares? This show was in ratings Hell last year and this year it's the #1 show on Monday nights. If you don't enjoy it then stop watching it so that the rest of us don't have to hear griping every week.

This show was in ratings Hell last year and this year it's the #1 show on Monday nights. If you don't enjoy it then stop watching it so that the rest of us don't have to hear griping every week. You know that it is QUITE possible to enjoy watching something while having issues with it, right? I mean, if I only watched stuff I enjoyed one hundred percent, that had no flaws whatsoever, I wouldn't watch anything at all. But you're right. If the show has issues that I have a problem with, I should just shut up about them and pretend the show and competition are perfect. Or, you know, you could stop reading the comments and just watch the show. Edit: Also, keep in mind that, with 6 regions and 15 finishers in each region, we are looking at 90 competitors without wildcards. Assuming they are going for 100 competitors, that only leaves 10 wild card spots. That is not nearly as many as they've had in past years, so I have a lot more issue with them giving them out to people who failed in qualifying this year, compared to how they used them to push females forward last year and the year before. If there are only 10 wildcard spots, they should go to people who made it to the semifinals, at the very least. Even if both Meghan Martin and Jessie Graff were to get wildcard spots, at least they made semifinals, and didn't get a pass for being shoved down our throats. THAT'S where my problem comes in. If only 10 slots are open, and 1 of them is filled by Kacy, that leaves 9 spots for competitors who made it to the semifinals and screwed up. Assuming they give a spot to #16, as they do usually, that now leaves 3. 3 spots for anyone else who may have screwed up in semifinals. That's not very many.

That's not how it works. If people disagree with something, they have every right to voice their opinion. It's close minded people like yourself that are the problem. I'm not even against Kacy getting a wild card either.

On a brighter hand though, Daniel Gil crushed that course. He displayed how the course should be done.

Akbar, shut up. Saying she deserves a wild card spot just based on last year is total bull. I didn't see you giving Brent a wild card spot. I didn't see you giving Drew Dreschel a wild card spot. I didn't see you giving Flip a wild card spot. Why give Kacy one? Or rather, why bother having her compete in qualifying if you are going to give her one no matter where she finishes? To be fair, in season 5 Brent did, in fact, fail on the qualifiers, and he was, in fact, given a wild card spot. Didn't happen last season, though, so maybe they learned their lesson.

According to Sasukepedia, Brent made the semifinals, but failed on the Salmon Ladder in season 5.

That year those who were 16-18 in city finals got a wild card. That's how Mike Bernardo got in to Vegas that year.

I like that you one-step the steps like me, and I liked your jump for joy after the second obstacle. I think that's how you can play up to the crowd without being a dick. The slip on the log looked a little less than pleasant. Did you bruise anything?

Nah, there's no real reason for me to head out there. Maybe next year as a competitor.

Worse part about this whole thing was it was hosted in my area I live. Berry Center is where my sons Highchool plays some of their varsity games etc. I did not get to go but one of my Scouts went; he does a parkor class at Sam Sann's gym and they went out to support the group. I was so behind this year keeping track so now I have to watch on TV instead of live gerr
