This has been conversed privately as "wishful" and "actively working on" but never openly discussed as no decisions were made. However, Inui has been hinting online on his Twitter of his intentions. The latest set of tweets are actively talking about it. Sasuke 31 will have new obstacles (or what we call "renewal"). The latest sets of tweets admits to wanting to get rid of the Warped Wall/Kabe obstacle from Sasuke. There's a bunch of stuff he's planning to do and some are already past Health and Safety (no I didn't ask and he appreciated that I didn't). For those interested, follow Inui as he talks about these things. Heck, he's even tweeted in the past obstacles during construction. So.. knowing all of this, what do you think these changes will be?

Pure speculation, but... - Final Stage is 100-meter Drum Hopper, with 100s time limit.
- Kabe is moved from Stage 1 to Stage 1.5. Stage 1.5 is 10 Kabes in a row, ranging from 12 ft., to 13 ft., 14 ft., ... , 21 ft. Furthest x people move on to Stage 2.
- Backstream Salmon Ladder makes its debut. Imagine an underwater, horizontal Salmon Ladder with water jets pushing you "down" -- the way salmon were meant to climb.
- People may run any stage in pairs. That is, you can run the a stage with a buddy, where you help each other through the obstacles, in any way you want, as long as you obey the obstacle's original rules. Only thing is things cannot be reset, unless doing so does not take either of you "out of bounds" (E.g. Rolling Escargot would not be able to be rolled back up). You may, as always, choose to run the stage by yourself.
- The big peg board thingy from Viking makes its Sasuke debut, but instead of reading "VIKING", it reads "SUCK IT M9! ".

Wow Inui means business... I can't imagine the first stage without the wall beyond SASUKE 1-4's first stage. One thing though, I hope the first stage doesn't revert to SASUKE 18-24's 120 second 1st stages. They often tend to overstay their welcome after a while.

Ok sorry even though we've seen the wall since SASUKE 5 (Thanks Akiyama! XD) I HIGHLY doubt it's going away. It's way too iconic! I do follow him on Twitter but I don't actually pay much attention. Will now.

LOL He's been trying to get rid of the Wall since he came back but I think this time he might get his wish. I'm curious what new stuff they will have. I also expect some misses in there as can happen when doing new things. He does agree with me though that people need to fear the first stage again. His wish is to replace all of the obstacles that people have replicas for. LOL

While I am laughing at the joke, please be serious. I'm curious what you guys legitimately expect. There's enough joke threads.

I'm just hoping they don't totally rip up the course. Like a 12-13 renewal would be ok, but a total renewal would honestly piss me off. We need a winner first.

Interesting Well I expect it to be better than any new ANW obstacles (piston road, circle thingy, curtain glider, rope maze, cannonball alley, crappy jumping helicopter blade trampoline thing etc) so at least thats a plus . Yamada finally retires and now they take out the WW lol xD He's gonna be annoyed! 1st stage and 1st few obstacles I see a total overhaul, I expect finish to be the same, still some sort of Jump Hang/Spider (Heck even bring back the Slider Jump but with a bigger trampoline ). I think Stage 2 will have the bigger overhaul, fans were really annoyed with the SSL so I think that has to go. Stage 3 I expect little tweaks (aka BODY PROP) and Final will be the same because it is awesome As long as it is still more SASUKE than ANW/Takeshi's Castle idm, but once I start seeing the big balls in Stage 1 then I know it's gone too far xD

Pretty much agree with the above two. I just hope SASUKE doesn't go the way of KUNOICHI and do like head-to-head crap. (Please tell me he's not going to do head-to-head stuff...)
There's a certain integrity to uphold, and I hope he doesn't make serious edits to the formula. I'm okay with some unconventional stuff like, say, the Gallon Throw, but I don't want to see stuff that clearly has no place on SASUKE. Seriously, no Math Parlay. Please.

Trust me.. he knows my contempt for that format and I asked specifically about it. LOL 100 normal like always. Just obstacles are changing not format of the show. And Math Parley is too Viking. I asked about that too. Aahahahahhahaha

I assume Stage 4 will remain the same.

His wish is to replace all of the obstacles that people have replicas for. LOL If that's the case then goodbye Cliffhanger! XD Nah that's also way too iconic. XD But I had no idea he wanted the walls out so bad! He so waited until Yamada was outta the picture to get rid of it! XD It's pure coincidence!

I think S4 will remain the same, S1 will remain kinda the same. S2 would most likely get a full renewal and S3 have a semi - renewal.

The order of priority he was tackling the project of renewal was Stage 1 then 3 then 2.

I'm expecting a new mat color (red, black and green are old), and a bunch of weird balance and jumping obstacles in the 1st stage.

He can have an Olympic diving obstacle for all I care so long as the one-board Unstable Bridge goes away.
But in seriousness, if he wants Stage 1 to be feared again, he has to make it a marathon again or put an obstacle like the Spin Bridge, Circle Slider or Slider Jump. Something with a little bit of uncertainty. Though he probably wants something new, but I'm not imaginative in that way. Especially when you have H&S breathing down your neck.
Always have wanted the Ultimate Plank in Sasuke, but 1. where do you put it (in terms of pre/post CCH) and 2. how long is the rest of the stage. Then again, didn't seem to stop them in regards to the UCH.

I want a First Stage like SASUKE 16's. That was fun to watch.

I honestly like the first stage as it is. It's the easiest stage, and I hope it stays that way.

Wait, Inui tried getting rid of the Warped Wall in 28, and yet we ended up with the Double Warped Wall...? Anyway, here are my guesses:
I think there's a good chance of seeing a swimming/water-based obstacle in the First Stage in addition to the Backstream in the Second Stage.
I don't know why I say this, but I have a feeling there will be more obstacles with moving parts (i.e. Reverse Conveyor Belt, Hedgehog, Cone Jump, etc.)
A different final obstacle for the First Stage. I think there's a chance it won't involve any type of a rope or net climb.
