am absolutely angry at sky, not challenge but sky, they own challenge and to them it would not make them much £££, thanks to mr Murdoch and his crap uk tv While that is true (and it is).. Challenge was the one that said the idiotic reasons why they didn't want to ask Sky for money to send someone over. Hell. I even gave them options on how they could do it without spending a single dime.. that's when they decided foreigners never were a part of it or it would dilute the charm of the show.. Tell you tell them they were wrong and give them a list of competitors from overseas?

YES I told them and I wasn't the only one bitching at them that morning.

Hey guys. I'm from the UK and have been waiting years for something like this to happen only to be hugely disappointed to hear that the UK isn't joining the Sasuke party! Big hairy balls. So, random question to those of you in the know, do you think that people will be able to travel to the tryouts from foreign countries or do you think they'll want to keep things separate in order to create some kind of lame country against country drama in the finals? If not, I'm freaking driving to France!

If not, I'm freaking driving to France! You'd have to contact the producers of NWE to get the answer to that. I'm thinking they wouldn't allow you to compete in the city trials if you are not from that country but I've seen stranger things happen.

I'd start sending emails over to them to figure out what the British Isles competitors have to do.. I mean start that now.. not when they announce everything officially.

Cool. Cheers for the info Arsenette. I'm gonna bug them everyday until they let me in. If not I'll just grow a goatee and pretend to be French or something. Seriously though, if British citizens are allowed then we should get a bunch of us together to rent a van or something and take a Ninja road trip!

I think this is awesome and in a few years... Well see which country has the most winners and it'll be a little bit like the tour De France but different locations other than the just one country.

I really want to say "Don't try to turn Ninja Warrior into a person vs person sport" with the countries... but at the same time TBS kinda did that with their editing of 26...

I know this thread is getting old, but I think i've set up a good idea for a European Contest.
Europe is split into 3 regions: East, Central, West
Qualifiers are in 3 cities for each region, with the regional finals held in 1 of them. Anyone can compete in their own region, there is NO age limit.
The top 50 win a place in the Regional Finals. Only the top 30 go to the EURO FINALS in each region, along with a further 10 Wild Cards chosen by the producers.
European Finals is a 4 Stage course based on the SASUKE course in Japan. If anyone beats all 4 stages, they win €250,000, which will be converted into their country's unit of currency later.
Cities:
West: London, Barcelona, Paris West Finals: London
East: Warsaw, Kiev, Moscow East Finals: Moscow
Central: Berlin, Athens, Rome Central Finals: Berlin
EURO FINALS: London
QUALIFIERS:
(1) Quad Steps (2) Log Grip (3) Bridge of Blades (4) Spider Walk (5) Circle Slider (6) Warped Wall
Top 50 times go to the Regional FINALS
Regional FINALS:
6 QUALIFIER Obstacles (7) Salmon Ladder + (8) Stick Slider (9) Cargo Net
Top 30 + 10 Wilds go to the FINALS
EURO FINALS:
Stage 1
(1) Step Slider (2) Rolling Escargot (3) Spinning Bridge (4) Jumping Spider (5) Half-Pipe Attack (6) Warped Wall (7) Slider Jump (8) Tarzan Rope + (9) Rope Ladder
Time: 130 secs
Stage 2
(1) Slider Drop (2) Double Salmon Ladder + (3) Unstable Bridge (4) Balance Tank (5) Metal Spin (6) Wall Lifting
Time: 95 secs
Stage 3
(1) Roulette Cylinder + (2) Doorknob Grasp (3) Devil Steps (4) ULTIMATE Cliffhanger (5) Jumping Bars (6) Hang Climb (7) Spider Flip (8) Flying Bar (5 Rungs)
Time: Unlimited
Final Stage
Rope Climb (20m)
Time: 40 secs
PRIZE: €250,000
Do you like it???

That's because there isn't anything yet.. they only just announced it and nothing is up on their site.. This is the reason why the thread exists. Patience.. this is brand new..

As of now, I am in contact with the Producer guy that will bring Ninja Warrior to Europe - Gert van Kerckhove. It will be held somewhere this year from what I can tell. I think end of August, beginning of September... End of summer definitely. But nothing is for sure...
He is very busy with trying to sell the show throughout Europe and the try outs will be throughout Europe, just like he said in the interview, I think it was: Scandinavia, Germany, France, Spain, and somewhere in middle of Europe.
I'm definitely excited about NWE and what the obstacles will be at the tryouts! I am training really hard!
If I know anything more, I'll definitely post it right here! As for now, we just gotta wait and hope for the best and that it will be this year. If not then HOPEFULLY next year.
But hey, Sasuke Navi, Sasuke 29 are coming soon and even some ANW. Enough to keep our heads occupied, until we get some more news about Ninja Warrior Europe!
I'm Perry from The Netherlands and you've been served!
