Thanks mods for moving this It was quite buried in the Sasuke 28 thread. Thanks for the update. He's incredibly difficult to get in contact with... so I'm grateful you try! Would be awesome if there was some sort of announcement if it's indeed later in the summer. We are only a couple months out so if they plan to do that they need to get their butt in gear. Hard to fill out a field of hopefuls if no one knows wtf is happening.

If this hasn't been updated there's a reason. We don't know. Maybe you can find out by doing research as well.

I was born and currently live in New York, but I have Irish citizenship. Would I be eligible to try out? Is the age limit 18? I don't have time to read all of this.
Edit: I skimmed through the thread. Can't believe they cut out the UK.

So I'm in contact with the producer of Ninja Warrior Europe and this is what I have: He told me that he is still in negotiations with the countries and broadcasting companies in Europe to sell the show to. Like in the US there is ABC, NBC(sorry for using this as an example Arsenette:) etc, and in Europe we have broadcast companies in each country as well! And there are a few who are interested but I'm confident that it will be sold. It al comes down to one country/broadcast company. If one begins then there will follow more.
Although the producer isn't giving me a lot of info on everything, he did told me that he is aiming it for spring/summer 2014. The mission was that it would start in september but I guess that he didn't have a lot of time to sell the show to anyone and therefore it didn't go through.
It is still waiting and waiting on good news… Although it didn't work out for 2013 this year, I'm hoping that it will be 2014. He has more time to work things out and hopefully convince those countries that this show is worthy of buying! (RIGHT?!)
As for me, I am still training for Ninja Warrior Europe and making a submission video(if the opportunity presents itself) and if not, then I have a nice video for everyone to see. Maybe a few people know Miska Sutela from Finland? He flew all the way to Japan to train with some Ninja's over there and some New Generation Ninja's! Very jealous of that, but also very happy for him that he got to meet them.
He told me yesterday that he will create a training event for everyone who wants to train at his obstacle park, before Ninja Warrior Europe starts! So I will post videos and pics (if you guys are interested), of my visit to Miska in Finland, because I will definitely say YES to his idea!
Hope I gave you guys some useful information and if you have any questions, please ask. Also if you have questions for the Producer: Gert van Kerckhove(he is Dutch too, lucky me), then type it here, then I will put them in the next email I will send him!
Greetings from the Netherland,
Perry

Thanks for the update Perry! Yeah the waiting for NWE is frustrating but since this is a biiiiiiiig event covering a lot of countries (and a whole lot of moving parts) I expected it's going to take time. Dealing with each country's internal politics and television airing issues was going to be a nightmare to deal with. As for Miska we knew about it and have been talking about it on the Training forums.

If qualifiers are not held in the UK then I just hope that people from the UK (Such as myself) will be able to travel to a nearby country to compete...It will be a really bother if not.

Given most european trends, I say it'd be 18, possibly younger

SASUKE EUROPE IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT THE UNITED KINGDOM!!! And there shouldn't be an age limit, it should be like Britain's Got Talent (no age limit) where anyone can compete!

UK has gone on record that they won't be part of NWE.. they don't have the budget for it and they don't think it's in their best interests. Trust me I've already harped on them about it. I HOPE it changes but I find it doubtful. Also, given all the delays of this happening it's clear the logistical nightmare of having to deal with several countries' television stations all wanting a piece of the pie is proving more problematic than they originally anticipated.
