David Campbell was able to find out on Ninja Warrior's Facebook page, that the tryouts will NOT be held in June or July, but has now been pushed to within the first two weeks of August. The reasoning is, possibly due to a new, better tryout location.

G4 put up on their Ninja Warrior Facebook page some potential tryout dates, the second weekend in August.
They've narrowed down to a few locations, but in negotiation, so I can't say yet. Again, tryouts will most likely will be the 2nd weekend in August (8/5 - 8/8), but as always, TBD.

G4's Facebook officially announces that ANW2 is meant to be a fan-friendly event, with bleachers for those who only want to watch.
Also, G4's recording date broadens dramatically, stating it'll be held somewhere from July 29th to September 1st, but could still change. However, they stated that they will release the exact times before the end of June, which consequently means that the date will be assured before (or right at) the end of the submission period. NOTE: SEE BELOW UPDATE!

Mass e-mails have recently been sent out to anyone who (seemingly) did not clear the first stage last year, asking if those people wish to try-out again this year.
Contact anwcasting@gmail.com (Darren Toon) to get in if you were not contacted yet.
Those who responded to the e-mail's basic requests (Picture, name, age and other such info) were just contacted again on 6/29 stating much new info:
1.) Tryout video submission acceptance dates have been extended.
--- 1a.) Online dates have been moved until July 16th.
--- 1b.) Mailed submissions must be postmarked by July 20th.
2.) The e-mail states that the tryout dates will be August 7th through August 9th. However, it doesn't state that these dates are official *yet*, as well as the G4 Ninja Warrior Facebook page and G4's own site, have not given any officially stated info, so I wouldn't take this as hard fact just yet.

According to a contact who wishes to be kept secret and only contacted by me (I scratched their back, so they're scratching mine...):
1.) Pilgrim is NOT the production company!
2.) August 7th through 9th ARE the confirmed tryout dates!
3.) They don't have any official info yet on how the tryouts/semis/finals will be run, but they believe that the tryouts will be run on the 7th and 8th, and the semis/finals will be run on the 9th.

1.) Entries are now CLOSED.
2.) They are still looking for contestants who will run in costumes.
3.) Applications are now sent out with a requirement of 72 hours return notice. They must be faxed. Applications are sent after people are guaranteed spots.

We're currently in negotiations with the location, so unfortunately, I don't have set dates yet. However, most likely it will be the first two weeks of August in Los Angeles. Definitely not June or July. If we get this location, it will be AWESOME though! We will let you know as soon as we can.

American Ninja Warrior Tryout update. We're now looking to have the tryouts in Los Angeles from 7/29 through 9/1, but that may still change. We're also hoping to have bleacher seating for fans and even a mini-course for kids. Again, TBD, but wanted to share with you that this will really be a fan-friendly event & that you could come down just to watch. We should have more set date later in June.
