They left on the 10th, and David's now disappeared for the duration of Sasuke and the day before.

I just wanna say I agree with Strat.
Training for Sasuke is what separates us from the unhealthy norms that are practiced by weak minded followers. We use our free time to better ourselves by training, instead of destroying ourselves by getting wasted (and its just that... a waste of life)
If you train for Sasuke, yet you still drink and/or smoke, your no better than the crap that hangs out at bars, destroying themselves by "slow voluntary suicide" AKA smoking, drinking, etc.
I have hope that there are still strong minded people out there. I hope David and Levi stay strong and influence others to do the same.

If he posts they think he didn't go.. If he doesn't.. they think he did. He's kinda screwed.. I feel bad for him.

Doesn't Nagano still smoke?
Anyway, didn't David make a little post with a picture of the view from the hotel room sometime before the competition for Sasuke 22, while he was in Japan? ... Or did he show that stuff after the competition?

You forgot to say no offense, Obake. If you train for Sasuke, yet you still drink and/or smoke, your no better than the crap that hangs out at bars, destroying themselves by "slow voluntary suicide" AKA smoking, drinking, etc. While you don't have to get wasted most of the time, people drink because it's fun. We don't advise others to stop drinking 95% of the time because we know it's their choice. But for the record it's okay to do things not out of the ordinary and slightly unhealthy as long as you stop. Just like Nagano seen once with a cigar, he deserves to try something unhealthy for once because he is so respectful to his body and is already disciplined.

Or did he show that stuff after the competition? Oh yeah Nagano still smokes. And not casually either. Though he doesn't drink alcohol at all. David did when he got to Japan but remember everyone knew he was going. The top 10 is under secrecy this time so such posts come with a consequence. This is the first time actually that they are not even allowed to say they won.. since no one announced who was going.

It's really tough for me to anything positive about drinking and smoking especially since my family has a long line of smoking problems and alcoholism. I will never drink nor smoke at all, however, I don't look down on people who do. It's a personal choice, really, and I suppose my attitude about it would be different had my family history not taken the course it did.

Two sides to every argument. To say that someone who smokes and or drinks isn't good or can't be atheletic is simply immature and totally irrational argument. Again it's a personal choice and it's common for many pro atheletes not to partake in these things. But there also alot who do. If you take offense to someone who is competitive and drinks/smokes, why didn't you make it? Maybe he/she trains that much harder? Maybe alchohol gives him a competitive edge. I've known my share of people who would take a nip of the bottle to calm the nerves. Its actually healthy to drink if not to excess. Great for circulation etc. Anyway, I just feel it's a silly point to be complaining about other people's lifestyles. It's their lives and they've won at the least a trip overseas. They should be afforded the chance to enjoy themselves. Assuming they aren't tripping over there own feet at the competition, you are already disrespecting our competitors. LOL, I actually bowl better half drunk ( not that bowling is Sasuke). Heehee, so ya never know. Good luck to all the US contestants. Have fun, and do your best!

Reread my post and sounded a little aggressive. Just wanted to say that assuming our guys are embarrassing us overseas because they went out is a little silly and premature. I'm happy for the guys that got the opportunity and hope they enjoy themselves. For most it's a once in a lifetime opportunity (not counting levi, and david). So, relax, try and be happy for them and let's do our best to support them. Not attack our competitors or take anything from them. Gooooo team USA

This argument comes up from time to time, and Ube said it first and best: "Nancy Reagan must be so proud."

Could we really call it Team America if there weren't drinkers on the team?

It's not even the drinking that bothers me (like a few people said it).. it's the timing and the amount.. it's like they didn't care that they were not training for it. it was just one big party... before.. Sasuke..

Upon review of David's account, every time he's posted here since the ANW winners left it's been between 11pm and 5am. That's 12 noon to 6pm our time. Also note that he didn't post during the taping of SASUKE.
So David, how was Japan?
