Two bars on the Double Dipper. I think that will be the big ninja killer this year. That could get ugly.

Morimoto has already taken a lot of time off work lol. I wouldn't be surprised if he couldn't go. Tomo is a good choice for Japan. He has the size to offset some of the disadvantages Team Japan faced in the past. It's just he bombed last time lol

Tonight was the finale for both The Voice and Dancing with the Stars, so I expect that may eat into the ratings a bit. Very intense episode! Lots of crashes! The way Drew got through the Swing Jump was different. Labreckfast Club is my favorite punny name along with Stratis Faction. Edit - The preview for next week has a major spoiler in it. At first I thought Drew was nuts. Then I saw how quickly he was able to dismount and it was genius. I guess we now know for sure where James destroyed his shoulder and needed surgery. And I was sure tonight was where Erica blew her knee out with he fall. I no longer watch the previews. Even the start of the episode, I just look away from my phone until the opening is done. They give away waayyyyy too much.

Drew drechsel anw8 hang climbing. . After passing some of the toughest stuff ever and making it look like child's play ..I would of thought he would of shot through the the hc like a free runner on the warped wall And he would have had he not brain farted and grabbed a foot hold instead of a hand hold. Likely a million dollar lapse in concentration and he knew it

I was disappointed in that the previews spoiled the outcome so explicitly. You can usually put 2 and 2 together but this time they flat showed the end result in their last twitter ad. So no more previews for me lol

lol Natalie Duran is favored by the producers of this show for very little reason. I don't know who any of these "celebs" are. I guess she's considered a YouTube star and they are all about pushing the social media ppl. I'm just too old for that haha

Every movie and tv news site I go to daily had a huge article and headline about Stephen Amell being on it. Made him seem a lot bigger than he is. Jeff Dye is a funny dude, was fun on the show Better Late Than Never last year on NBC.

Oh yeah there was the 13 year old too, wasn't there? Yeah. Poor kid didn't lock into the TIE Fighter and it took off without him. He could only stand there and watch it slide away lol

Drew said on FB that the support attached to the flying bar really seemed to hinder ppl with their jumps. Kept getting in the way.

I feel guilty for thinking that it took about 30mins for word to get out that there were pretty girls on tv. Slowing inching across a giant rod. On their stomachs. In sports bras.

How is it not Tomohiro? It looks exactly like him and has the same shorts from last year it looks like. Lol don't know why I'm even entertaining it. It's 100% him. I didn't want to believe this but it doesn't take 30 secs on his Instagram to find him wearing those shorts and color shoes. I'm surprised they included something so blatant in the trailer.

Just finished it. Enjoyed it. Loved the announce teams from other countries. Less energy from them would have made a less entertaining show.
Surprised I haven't seen anyone in here mention Brandon Douglas. He was a boot camp era ANW competitor and I'm pretty sure he was at one if he boot camps before elimination.

Awesome that Nagano got to be there. I'm curious how the staff reacted to him being there. LOL It was kept quiet as he didn't want to make a scene. I'm imagining a sneaky shot of him trying to hide/blend in... Matt: "It's Sasuke legend Makoto Nagano! He's so impressed by our Ninjas that he flew all the way to LA just to watch them in action!!"

I have a feeling she didn't apply. She has gone Ninja silent lately and her only training vids she posts are not obstacle related at all. I think she's moving on.

I honestly pick Drew to defeat it next. But I have to ask the rest of you who voted Drew, do you THINK he can beat it, or do you just WANT him to. Just wondering, it's both for me. He can beat it, but I don't think he's quite there yet. I think he needs another year of climbing. He put a rock wall in his gym but I think he's mainly been going quickly side to side. His pics the last month or two though I felt like he looked leaner, like he was trying to reduce a little body weight to help with that vertical hang. Morimoto can do it, but I would be shocked if he did the first time. Who knows how much the real job world impacted training. But he is a workaholic....

In recent years SASUKE is ironically probably one of the less global "Ninja Warrior" competitions their is, the latest NW:UK was broadcast in more countries than SASUKE 32 and their was a massive backlash (If I remember correctly) with domestic fans in 32 who thought their were too many foreigners. If anything too many foreigners were alienating a big part of their fanbase! Main issue is no international exposure, casual's in America know ANW, even my parents know NW:UK, I doubt many of the casuals know/care about SASUKE or who Morimoto or Yuuji are. Ben Shepherd and Chris Kamara didn't even know who Makoto Nagano was when we met them and they've hosted NW:UK for 3 seasons! It's just a useless network at distribution, could be a cultural thing maybe as they're hardly any mainstream Japanese show's in the UK but bar the hardcore audience it's not global at all. Heck American's legally shouldn't even know the results past 28! To put into perspective Ninja Warrior last week on Challenge drew 42,000 for SASUKE 17, NW:UK featuring a terrible course drew over 2 million. SASUKE's main market is Japan and they need to cater to that, if they don't they won't go much further past 33. Bingo. This is something I've been screaming at the top of my lungs for the past few years with them. I stopped. I literally just stopped and why I retired. Their heads are so wedged far up their.. to get WHY people are angry. Inui to this day still believes it's because he cut people and it rained. It is WHO they cut and what he showed is why they were angry. He cut clears (and has for a few tourneys... that infamous Photo pass thing grates my nerves even years later at this point), he rearranges runs the runs to fit the flow he decided on BEFORE the tournament so he's essentially editing into a style rather than appropriately and accurately representing the flow of competition, he edited in foreign participation fluff segments to Japanese instead of concentrating on their audience (no one watches ANW and they don't care...), they promoted foreigners OVER the domestic for dramatic effect. The Kacy stuff on 2ch was more of a frustration at the Japanese representation problem in Sasuke (meaning that women in Japan are sexual objects if not toys and not actual athletes) so here comes a foreigner to embarrass the state of Japanese women in Japan. It wasn't Kacy per se it was the fact that no woman had even touched the last obstacle before and they finally do and.. "she's not Japanese FML". I can't imagine the rage they would have had if Jesse ended up in the 3rd.. I would have died laughing seeing that live and everyone on the lot having a meltdown. The other problem with Foreign participation is that they CUT everyone else BUT the Americans so it seems even to them to be a clear bias towards the Americans so by default they are freaking out. There were good Japanese guys in the 3rd but you wouldn't know because if you blinked.. you would have missed them. Again.. something that Inui doesn't want to hear because that would reflect badly on his judgement and he is not someone who likes critiques. The NWUK thing is not at all surprising and it is indicative of the vacuum that exists in other countries when it comes to Ninja Warrior in general. Some countries that used to carry it stopped way back in 2008/2009 (before M9's collapse) so while they know "of" it, they don't "know it" to recognize the greatest competitors. That is the fault of TBS' horrible market penetration and why I'm so frustrated with the current scene (Esquire imploding further complicating the return of NW in the USA and potentially worldwide.. again). The other is WHAT channels have it. Even here in the USA.. it has only been shown to 300,0000 people on G4 in it's hayday while (I argue) the lesser of the spin offs gets 5-7 million a WEEK when it is on a national network like NBC. In the UK the Challenge market is smaller than ITV's correct? After I tweeted that to you yesterday, I felt so bad lol. Twitter mildly blew up for a few mins. My wife was just happy I talked to others about it instead of her hahaha Don't worry.. there's so much crap going on that I was going to find out sooner or later. It was funny you sent me that on Twitter about 2 hours after I had a hate mail sent to me bitching that I'm a horrible human being for not recognizing that Ninja Jesus deserves to be on Sasuke and I should die in a fire for being a racist bigot who wants to sleep with Japanese men. Yeah.. that was my weekend. LOL I....yeah. Loss for words. Just....wow. I'm sorry. Dang trolls lol

So after looking at the competitor spoiler, is Drew the only American competitor in the top 100? Sad that neither Geoff Britten nor Issac Caldiero participated. I will burn Midoriyama to the ground if Isaac steps foot on it. Especially with the BS he's pulling to this day to try to force himself onto that show. Geoff however better get an invite after the song and dance from last year when he was in then he was out. Drew earned his way in and it's amazing the dance he has to do to get on each season however this past year I'm sure had to do with the fact that his group broke NDA with the pics last year. That apparently was the talk from what I hear. It affected how ALL foreigners were perceived. And that's just frustrating. After I tweeted that to you yesterday, I felt so bad lol. Twitter mildly blew up for a few mins. My wife was just happy I talked to others about it instead of her hahaha
