This is probably a better place to discuss results so people don't get spoiled So far course is freaking amazing, I'm really impressed, and also Anderson Silva is on Brazilian commentary who is one of the greatest UFC Fighters of all time.

Just finished watching the season, and I loved it! {Spoiler}It was great for everyone to see Yuuji as a legend in Japan as a two-time Sasuke champion. However, his early fails in Levels 2 & 3 were very shocking to me, especially after that near perfect run in Level 1. {Spoiler}Also, am I the only one to notice the Brazilian's feet hit the ground in the final episode while he was on the bungee beds? I honestly thought he was out after that.

nvm found it. SOME NOTES: -Yuuji failing before level 4 was shocking, kind of, i guess, well not as much seeing his recent failures, but still shocking.
-I really wanted Yuuji to just Spider Climb the Ventilator part of Level 4 and everyone goes "HOW DID HE DO THAT???" if a serious ANW competitor (at least Daniel Gil caliber or so) then the same would happen
-Some obstacle ideas that could be implemented into SASUKE/ANW (Chain Reaction but that was done with Rope Jungle, Mag Wall if the budget is big enough, Weapon or whatever, a more complicated Trapeze Swing or something, Bungee Beds haha that would be awesome, and perhaps the Digestion thing.
-I thought of maybe creating some sort of thing with SASUKE competitors and obstacles, but Ultimate Beastmaster format. Maybe in Fan Media.
i am praying that i got the spoiler thing correct. oh god oh god i dont even believe in god

So in order which teams did the best/worst?

I just skipped to the last episode after watching 1. Pretty boring looks like a lot of the ninja warriors would destroy the people they had. Also the Brazilian touched the mat and should not have made it to the end. Also last stage makes it impossible for non climbers to win the show which is pretty dumb.

So in order which teams did the best/worst? In terms of the finals {Spoiler} Brazil despite having only one in the finals, had the champion.
South Korea had two, one failed in the 2nd level and one came close to winning
US had three. One failed Level one. One failed Level two and also was injured. One ultimately got eliminated in Level Three
Team Mexico only had one, but easily had one of the strongest candidates. However, got quite dizzy and failed shockingly early on Level two
Team Germany had two representatives, but both failed Level one
Team Japan couldnt get anyone for the finals. None ever attempted Level 4 in Qualifiers.

The whole damn season they hyped "the winner gets 50K!!!" But literally as they started the final climb they say "oh by the way, if they don't make it to the top, they only get 25K. That is horrible. They were on the damn wall when they said that. They could've said "they have a chance at 50K in the final" and I'd be ok with it. But that seems just like a cheap last minute move. Odds are I won't be watching season 2, I'm sick of Terry Crews and Charissa Thompson, they absolutely annoy the crap out of me. The show has potential but it got boring after Yuuji got eliminated.

Lol let's get Paul Kashmir or something for S2, he's not on ANW iirc so... #KasemirforUBS2
And I hope SASUKE 33 gets some sort of boost from the Yuuji hype. Hopefully.

Really do wish Netflix allowed you to watch other versions like the Japan version. There were some anime on Netflix that can be on Japanese or English from what I remember. Wonder if its some legal reason. Kinda feel bad for Japan in the US edit. Other than Yuuji, they got about the least focus. Still enjoyed it, but do wonder if any format in Season 2 was changed.

Wish Yuuji could've pulled himself out of the water like that German girl did in episode 6 and kept going. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought the Brazilian guy touched on the bungee beds. Also all the other episodes had the tie breaker for the final as highest person when time runs out, which I thought was the Korean guy. I guess they wanted more excitement for the finals. Overall the show was entertaining.

Bringing this over from the other thread since it might have a better home here...
Yep, I also had two obstacle related questions. Would love to know what was up with the one obstacle after the mag wall.
Did they also tweak Level 3's "white pipes" (after the speed prism strike thing) after the first episode so they sink MUCH faster? No one had an issue with it in the first episode, and then suddenly top tier athletes are getting dunked in water.

My guess is that they edited the first four obstacles in stage 1 depending on whether or not anything interesting happened on them with the 12 competitors in general (someone hitting that first booster, someone failing one of them, etc) and I'm pretty sure there is a first obstacle of stage 2 that everyone did but they never showed. Likely because it was slower and didn't affect results.
Also, that episode 3 introduction with Yuuji's intro and first stage run was awesome. Really gave Yuuji the respect his record deserves as well as a new way of starting out an episode.

I thought two of the three strongest competitors made the finals which made for a good final show down. Overall I thought the competitor field was weak seen way stronger male and female competitors on ANW. Talk of the final and rock climber to win is ANW/Sasuke really any different the ultimate clif hanger, crazy cliff hangar, final rope climb, the jump hang the flying bar. You need serious upper body skill to compete in ANW/Sasuke and the same is true in the ultimate beast.

Yuuji was unlucky on Stage 2, didn't have to go for lever, fell because weren't SASUKE approved ropes! 3rd stage just mistimed jump but is hard off s treadmill. Also this course is s lot nicer to taller people, hence why I don't think any Japanese made it to a Stage 4
