Since the ATL qualifier is tonight, I'm opening up the thread back in case no one is around to do so towards airtime. ^ That post above me still applies, though. Thanks for reopening the thread. I may make a new one later where we can discuss the female competitor issue- if there is one- all in one place. Some great competitors tonight, and a pretty good course too. I likely can't watch it for a few more days because it's never available online straight away and I live in the UK. Not sure if I should stay off this forum until then to avoid spoiling results for myself, does anyone else do this? Just don't open up spoilers.

I remember in Season 5, NBC posted videos of Paul's runs in the qualifiers, finals and Stage 1, and they got about 50,000 views total. Even course fails were getting more views than that and after that, they just stopped promoting him or uploading, or even airing his runs, which likely also led to his demise.

I wonder if the trapeze on the Double Pendulum swings so that you can build up momentum on it, or if it kills momentum so you have to dismount first time.

The highest part of it is half way up the bottom roller... No one is hitting it that isn't already failing... Dude. We agree on that. I'm just saying that I'm not sure it's for safety as it may be more dangerous to have it than not if you aren't supposed to put weight on it. Remember Torisawa Katsuhide in Sasuke 26? He smashes his head on the Rolling Hill without the mat.

{Spoiler} in the last few frames you can see part of the obstacle prior to Sidewinder R. It's very far back so it's a bit tricky to see, but it almost looks akin to Cannonball Alley from ANW. (There are what looks like 3 chains with different sized balls on the end).
Or I could be wrong and it could be cameras or something, but hey, I tried =P {Spoiler} This is what triggers me the most Did they blur that out?

The thing that angered me the most during the whole episode was that on Jessie Graffs run, they tried to obscure David Campbell. They never acknowledged the fact he was running along side of her, whenever the camera panned to him they cut away immediately. It's like their trying to make it like he doesn't exist. Well they can't avoid it forever, cause he ran in OKC and most likely did pretty damn well.
With 2 sprained ankles tho

ANW overdepends on upper-body obstacles in its qualifying and has an even worse relationship with its lower-body obstacles. Either the obstacle is seen as too 'easy' or it's so absurdly difficult only 10 people clear it. I like the Escalator though. Fast-paced obstacles need to make a return. And this is why rock climbers are OP on the show

If anyone finds the full episode on YouTube could they provide a link please? I'll do the same if I find anything.

Sam Sann's final course clear had me in tears. Maybe Kacy failing in Vegas last season cuz she cried. David Campbell failing Stage 1 4th year in a row. Joe clearing Stage 2 last year. Brian Arnold failing Stage 2/completing Stage 3 last year.

Not really spoilers because wasn't aired, both girls fell on the floating boards not much after that to zap strength on stage 2 honestly and they both got to warped wall night before AND were running stage 1 for pictures over and over as people were running stage 2 so they were not more rested than a regular competitor for stage 3. I do agree they make way too big a deal out of it though with their first this and first that. Anyway I predict at least 1 Jessie Graff/Lebrec will clear stage 1 this year if not both and depending on how insane they make stage 2 and 3 (they don't want anyone to win this year) maybe even a stage 2 female clear (I don't think Megan can clear in Vegas due to time limit). You mean the Unstable Bridge?

Should we have the Atlanta thread re-opened so we can discuss it post-viewing?

So based on the preview pictures I know they cut out some stuff, like Joe Moravsky and Daniel Gil on Stage 3, as well as the Morimoto-Dory climb-off. Was anyone there who knows about these omitted runs and can provide results?

What's going on down there? I heard there was an injury (or something like that) and taping was delayed. What happened? It won't say on this thread.

But he has a Japanese citizenship tho but he is from tahiti, a french territory Sean McColl literally just trains in France, and he was still on Team Europe. Tim Shieff is also an American citizen.

He needs to be on Team Japan this year. He would destroy Stages 1 and 2. Don't you mean team france? But he has a Japanese citizenship tho

Man...considering how Wreathman did last tournament with absolutely no idea what to expect beyond "obstacles", I have high hopes for him this tournament. He needs to be on Team Japan this year. He would destroy Stages 1 and 2.
