I get the limited budget, and production difficulties, but wow this tournament was bad. I could go into detail on a lot of things, but the thing I want to focus on is that STAGE TWO IS HORRIBLE. The fact that they couldn't come up with ONE new obstacle for a Kanzen renewal tournament is really disturbing. And on top of that, nobody was even close to failing. The slowest time was like 5.5 seconds from Nagasaki IIRC. Nobody was forced to go fast to get through. They could simply just take their time, and boom, they're in stage 3. It's just sad to see how Stage 2 kills everyone in ANW and a lot of the spinoffs around the world, but then the original has an easy and boring stage, even after a victory. Shame. Here's to hoping they don't overadjust Stage 2 for next tournament (if) like they did 28-29.

Probably not the right thread, but since Philly was the last qualifier: does anyone know whether Jeremiah Morgan was competing this year? Philly was the last course I watched and I didn't see him anywhere.
It seems weird that a stage 3 competitor wouldn't be back the following year... or did I miss him, or did they just cut him out like last year?
I wouldn't bother if he hadn't made it to stage 3, but now it made me curious.
Edit: And now that I think of it, I didn't see Elet Hall in any qualifier either... Elet Hall retired. Jeremiah Morgan most likely didn't compete.

I'll be in the minority but outside of the friggin' awesome tournament for Drew.. this was the worst edited Sasuke in history. I have it bottom 5 of all time. Were you watching on the SMF stream? I didn't see you there.

So Crystal Palace has the 3rd most players in the Euro's of any team in the world... And probably 2nd now after Italy being knocked out.

TBS f***ed up with their ruling then. Or maybe they were just desperate to have a woman clear the WW. During the Sasuke 13 Trials, Mika Watanabe was climbing the WW as time expired. That was enough for TBS to consider her the first women to ever clear it. Ayano's ruling is consistent with that. Calling it 'desperate' is blanket ignorance. TBS has the last word on this. Watanabe is the first woman to ever clear the warped wall, and Ayano is the first women ever to do so in Sasuke. However, I agree with Rider in believing that while both these women compleated the WW, neither of them should be given the credit for clearing it. But that's none of my buisness...

And if they all fail at the exact same place, the person with the latest number is the Golden Competitor correct? No, it's a tie and there's more than one Golden Competitor. Ok and then those who say any one of those competitors get the 20 points i guess

Whoever goes the furthest is the Golden Competitor. If 2+ fail the same obstacle, the person(s) who went the furthest on the that obstacle gets the title. And if they all fail at the exact same place, the person with the latest number is the Golden Competitor correct?

I wasn't there but I have heard of a few of the events...
1. Peg Board (obviously) 2. Flying Shelf Grab (they now can make it further than 14 feet) 3. Mega Wall 4. Invisible Ladder (not sure if this is a speed race or like how high they could get. I'm hearing it was held in the stage 4 tower, so I'm confused why that wasn't the actual Stage 4 (changes it up from a rope climb) 5. Hourglass Drop (hey you gotta have one luck based event, it's Vegas!) I think they either move the bridges further away laterally, or they lower the trampoline... 6. Cliffhanger (just a rumor)
No Salmon Ladder?

So Golden Competitor is last man standing right? like it would be Tomo if he fell on the 1st UCCH transition, but say Drew fell on the second?

People say Hioki is pretty much the dependable one to clear no matter his position. If all the clears happened close to the end, it be a whole hour of nonstop fails. I believe TBS is trying to spread strong competitors out to have a mix of clears from early, middle, and end. I'd still be pretty pissed if I were Hioki, because then you run first on the next 3 stages, and I think that's hurt him on Stage 3 before, and it could easily hurt him this tournament.

Does Hioki ask for early numbers? Cuz it would seem pretty unfair if TBS made him run so early without his consent.
