Personally, would have liked at least the first official ANW clear in Japan back in Season 1 or when 9/10 cleared Stage 1 in Season 3 but I get keeping everything during the Vegas-era so to speak.
Would have kept Brent at 5 since he was the then-benchmark for ANW competitors, but swapped Kevin and Meagan. Kevin's was a great moment, but Meagan's was more historical. Or maybe put Kevin, Meagan, Brent from 6th to 4th.

Thrillist linked the wrong video for your #8. (They linked the 2015/ANW7 Morimoto Stage 3 clear instead of the 2014/ANW6)

ANW? THERE ARE NO POWERFUL MOMENTS. ANW IS NOTHING BUT A CONSPIRACY TO KILL OFF SASUKE IN THE WEST, SOMETHING THAT EVERY COMPETITOR INVOLVED IN THE SHOW KNOWS AND ACTIVELY PURSUES. ALL OF THE COMPETITORS ARE INCAPABLE OF FEELING POWERFUL EMOTIONS, AS THEY ARE IN FACT DROIDS PROGRAMMED BY NBC.
Seriously though, Kacy's clear, Geoff's first American Ninja Warrior run, Isaac's first Vegas finals stage 3 clear, Morimoto's first overall stage 3 clear and David Campbell's UCH fail in season 3.

Great list, love reliving those! I would put Levi/Brian in there somewhere, but can't think of 1 specific highlight for either of them at the moment. ANW1 -- finals being held on the beach with rando passers by just chillin all around, oh and also David Campbell not making the top 10 cut ANW2 Boot Camp -- Evan Dollard volunteering to take over for Patrick Cusic on the Heavenly Rope showdown (or whatever they called it) ANW3 -- Tim Sheiff failing the Log Grip, which like no one else ever failed all weekend (Tim Sheiff at the time was one of the favorites) ANW3 -- me getting to hug Sara Jean Underwood, who only had a swimsuit and bath robe on ANW3 -- Drew injuring his knee at Sasuke 27ANW4 Miami - Joyce Shabazz as the first woman to clear the jump hang. To my knowledge, no woman has made that large of a trampoline jump since, except for Martin's Jumping Spider (Shabazz has failed the JS... 3 times?). And I think it was the ANC days but when David got saved on the Slider Jump by his foot. As you can see, I'm kind of an old school guy EDIT: Now that I think about it, the single most shocking moment by far in ANW history to me was when ANW aired on NBC for the first time -- the ANW3 "Midoriyama finals" (which was just them showing the 10 Americans in Sasuke 27 and cutting out everything else, lol). That surely was the spark that led to the mainstream viral fire that ANW now is. Up until then, it was just so incredibly niche. No doubt a lot of us saw the potential for mainstream, just didn't think it would actually become what it has today. EDIT2: And also the concept of having multiple regions, instead of just Venice Beach, was really big at the time (circa ANW4).

Great list! Personally I would've swapped Kacy and Kevin, and added either Sam Saan or Jon Stewart's finals clears.

Sam Sann's final course clear had me in tears. Maybe Kacy failing in Vegas last season cuz she cried. David Campbell failing Stage 1 4th year in a row. Joe clearing Stage 2 last year. Brian Arnold failing Stage 2/completing Stage 3 last year.

We all obviously know that the most powerful ANW moment is USA vs the World in 2014, because you should know why

Where's Steven Moul??? Gah! Every other suggestion that I've gotten was considered and removed from the final list for one reason or another. Steven's slipped my mind and probably should have been on there.

Must've been hard selecting just ten, there could easily have been a top 20 if you'd wanted. Loving the podcasts btw
