I steadfastly believe that the success of Urushihara and Kanno (and by proxy UNCLI and the STQers as a whole) made G4 (and their viewers) realize that they need to throw this out to as many people as possible because you simply never know where the best stories are going to come from. Which is something they should have already known because the "wow, these random people we gave a chance to have become our money-makers" trope (AKA the All-Stars) has been in place for a long long time. Yeah I remember one of the producers after Sasuke22 was over commenting on how the reason so many did well in stage 2 and 3 is because they were selected via a trials. or something to that effect. I think they were a little let down that none of us got past stage one I really wish that Santa Monica event had happened before sasuke22 (like they pretended it did), small as the course was, it would have been great practice! May have even given me the extra 5 seconds I needed, who knows?

Yeah maybe if I had jumped up to grab higher on the tarzan rope? And maybe if I had been less tired? Stage 2 and 3 are so easy to me compared to stage 1 too, so I still may not have fallen in the water Oh well let's see what happens this time if they don't introduce another new crazy obstacle like the Slider Jump again I should be good! But yeah, there was no way I was getting my shoes wet, I really hate that! I think that's why my foot got caught inthe net, just trying to keep my shoes out of the water! JK

Stage 2 and 3 are so easy to me compared to stage 1 too, so I still may not have fallen in the water I hope the producers of the show realize this fact. Stage 1 is harder than the others, not so much about physical strength, but about the stamina needed to complete the stage. The obstacles are very tricky too and anyone can fail several of them at any given time if you're not focused. Obstacles like the Jumping Spider, HP Attack and Slider Jump are hard to train for and you need a bit of luck as well to get through them (if you don't time out).

yup!
I feel like for the most part at least, if you CAN do stage 2 and 3 you WILL, and if you fail it's just because you weren't strong enough or hadn't practiced the obstacles.
But with stage 1 it's such a long mad dash with weird technical jumping obstacles that if you don't have PERFECT form on everything something weird can happen and you're done!

Either that or they just shipped the 19 HPA and Spider Walk panels they must have tons of And the Spinning Log (I.E. Burasagi Maruta from Sasuke 1 and 2 and the 21 Side Event) or something else? And it was strat that confirmed they said the quintuple steps (presumably the Godantobi or 16/17 Rokudanotbi mislabled)

I could see the HPA leaving, Jumping Spider I'm not so sure about, if I'm reading what Blind right they just the obstacle was called "Spider", And if Sasuke 1-6 made it clear they have alot of spare Spider Walk panels, and the Parking Lot and 21 Side Event had those kinds of Trampolines they probably have spare trampolines. And some versions of the opening part look slightly different in size so maybe they have more of the opening because I really can't see the Jumping Spider going considering it seems to be the deciding factor of stage one from weeding out competitors and how fast they spider walk determines if they can pass or not most of the time.
