That's cool though you are not the only one who was confused with the update. I wonder if they got more emails like that?

Not sure honestly if more people read it that way or not. Considering that this specific facebook community is new I'd figure if we can try to keep as much information as clear as possible. I hope it grows more! I know from checking out twitter that a lot of new people are into Ninja Warrior than I thought. I'd figure the fans we have were it.. but apparently there are a lot of new people. I'm sure none of which as OCD as I am LOL!!

It would seem that our small group of members finally broke the 100 members mark after hovering around the 85-95 area for a long time ^^;

Don't forget that if you have any friends that are fans of Sasuke / Ninja Warrior on facebook, let them know about the group's existence =D

I guess this deserves a small little update.


The group has now reached 350 members, which I believe is the biggest "Sasuke" group on Facebook - aside from the G4 hosted Ninja Warrior group/page.

The group has been host to a number of Sasuke related events, which I believe has contributed to the number of registered users here on SMF when it's showtime.

We've also got an All-Star lineup for officers (pun intended), featuring many of the American Ninja All-Stars (as coined by G4), and the Taiwanese All-Star we all know and love.

Granted the group is pretty, for lack of a better word, boring, at this point in time - it will pick up speed again once Sasuke 26 is officially announced, just like how things usually get here at SMF.

I'm not quite used to Facebook, because I use SASUKEpedia for messages. I'm still getting the habit.

Unfortunately, Facebook is "archiving" (see: deleting) all of it's groups that use the "old group format", that don't have enough activity to get upgraded to the "new group format."

With that in mind, even if we did have the activity to upgrade to the new format, the new format removes a lot of functionality that the old format had. The older format were more akin to what are now Pages, while Groups are literally just discussions for people with like-minded interests, which are more akin to a "community wall" that people can write on.

The old Sasuke group will be archived due to lack of activity, and by the time the archiving process happens, we most likely won't be able to convert, nor would we want to with the lack of functionality.


So here we are, at the end of the era of Facebook groups, and now at the beginning of the Facebook Pages.

The Sasuke group was a relative success, with over 400 members, and events for every Monster9 related show since Sasuke 23 - Sasuke, Kunoichi, Sportsman, and even including the non-Monster9 DOORS.
