Kind of a fun question. Just curious where you'd like to see a Sasuke event being held, and why. Since I started the thread I'll throw out my idea first.
I say the Mojave desert. Not too far from Las Vegas. It is near Area 51. I think that could be a kind of neat way to promote the event as well. Naming the site Area 51. That could also give us liberties in course design as well giving a futuristic look. Not only would contestants brave the course but the heat and stuff as well. Plus with so much open terrain I think it would be easier to dig out the pits and things of that nature. Though logistically filling each hole with water may be somewhat hard. Being close to Vegas though, plenty of hotel accomodations, and potentially lots of publicity. Not to mention any foreign competitors could have a hell of a good time. Being that close to the true Area 51 is also kind of neat with the stigma and all of that place.
So theres my thoughts, now lets hear yours!! Also, feel free to give your thoughts on others suggestions.... this is for fun so spelling out why or why not someones ideas wouldn't work is fine, just don't take it personally. HEHE. Let's hear it....some ideas.

I would go old school and either go with a huge indoor sports stadium like Sasuke 1 did, or would just go where they tape Wipeout in Cali.
My opinion on Mojave location: While the Area 51 part would be cool and unique, where you find a safe spot for it? There's the solar power plants, not to mention the wildlife around there.

Aye, I know alot of land is military owned and what have you. Not to mention the nat'l training center. So, that'd probablly be the difficulties. Of course i have no idea how much of the land is preservations or what have you. Just seems with that much barren land out there though, you could set up an event like that relatively cheap. I don't know this as fact but would assume so. Barring it isn't in the military no fly zone or something, it's a desert. Plenty of open space I would think.
I was thinking about stadiums and stuff of that nature as well, but unless it was a smaller course I think you'd have a tough time designing a fantastic course. How high are the average stadiums these days anyways?

I imagine if you went with the Mojave idea that there would only be a very narrow window in the year that you could actually fit the competitions into, without it being so hot that it would put Sasuke 15 to shame.

I have no clue about how high/big they are, nor do I have anyway of finding them. The major problem with that is when a stadium is listed as huge, they most likely only talk about the amount of people it holds. The tallest stadium is Wembley in UK (well enough for at least the final stage), but IDK how long the field is, and I imagine the first stage would only just fit (or be hugely lacking) unless you cramp everything which could be a lawsuit waiting (looks at Viking). A normal US football stadium is only about 120 yards by 53 1/3 yards (approx 300+ feet), aint that big for a whole tourney, only the first stage in fact (isn't it about 300 feet, im going by Ninja Warrior subs with the info here)
But, making a fantasy course, doesnt mean your stages have to be huge like the first one, could put the first two inside, and the last two outside, though we'll have to go back to seeing people fall on padding (yay)

Well in regards to the desert, I had to go there for NTC while in the Army for two weeks. Honestly, it wasn't super bad. Hot yes but I didn't find it outrageous and that's wearing full fatigues and carrying rucksack around. Night time was definately more comfortable. Army trains there around the year so it's possible. Would definately need to stay hydrated and all.
What about at some beach or other? I am form Virginia Beach area, so that could be fun too, building the course down a section of a beach. Problem there would probablly be security. Keeping people off the course and all.

Yeah a beach would work, but thats means they'll have to close down the beach for the day, but the biggest problem with the beach is any random spectators that may want to watch

Besides, I don't think you'd be able to use a stadium. You'd have to dig up and basically mutilate the ground and... that just wouldn't work, not with it being used for sporting events probably year-round, and stuff like undersoil heating and the like. Even if it were possible it would be monumentally expensive.

My backyard, it's big enough for like the second stage I think but that's all!

Yeah I agree with the stadiums. Unless like I said in another post it was attached to like and X-games event or something at a stadium. Not sure how they do it but they use s*** loads of dirt and all for there jumps and things. They even used both out and indoors for a rally car event. Expenses though definately. Why thought the desert would be cheaper. A beach event would definately have lots of people...but for a first year or so that would be good. More people watching and exposed to it I think the better. More of an issue having people actually try to climb the obstacles and what have you before the event. Hence a 24 hour security or something.

I'd have it here in Texas. There's plenty of land here to be bought for the occasion. And I'd host it end-April/beginning-May. That way we get nice warm weather, but not too warm. There are 2 airports you can fly into Dallas and a Hilton as well as other motels around for people to stay at.

It's gotta be either in an outdoor stadium or in an open venue that bystanders can stop to watch and get hooked. I think if you stick it indoors it loses some energy to the event.

Outdoors is best IMO. Even if you can get the problems that Sasuke and Kunoichi had.. (snow, rain, butt-friggin cold, ice, monsoon, hail, thunderstorm..) LOL the list goes on and on

Yeah, I agree. I think battling the elements to kind of adds a certain flair. Barring a lightning storm or something let em compete.

I'd also vote for it being outdoors. If by chance you had to take it indoors, look for a place that holds things like Monster Truck ralleys and Motorcross. Its not like there will be any grass left to tear up

Well all the indoor ones are done in sporting arenas. If you wanted to be ironic, you could go to where the Summer X-Games tapes in CA or the LA Memorial Sports Arena where the 2nd season of American Gladiators was taped (or so I was led to believe).
I'm partial to the outdoor baseball/track stadium-ish setting that Midoriyama resembles. The fact that it's made from scratch is a double-edged sword in that they don't have to pay for space and they can keep it a closed set, but opening it to the public would probably earn some revenue back.
If you went established locale, I'd try for something along the lines of Franklin Field or LA Coliseum or jury rig something at Wide World of Sports in Orlando (where they taped Battle of the Gridiron Stars). If not, there's plenty of vacant lots you can probably work on.

That's not really ironic...
I like indoor because you can control the weather. You'd never have heat, coldness or rain messing with your competition.

But there really isn't anywhere large enough to host such a large tournament indoors or in a stadium. Sasuke 1 tried that, and we all know the result. We even know that only Stage 1 could fit if shrunk down... not to mention Stage 2 & 3... and Good Lord... Stage 4...

I would imagine Stage 4 could fit, fairly well, it's stages 1&3 that would cause a riot. Because Stage 2 is small when you think about it, it's the water pit that makes it huge.

I want to have mine indoors, but if I have to for whatever reason, outdoors isn't that bad, I guess.
