I don't believe that many people here are actually training for Sasuke. I also think this forum would be a lot nicer if more people trained instead of just browsing around here all the time.
So, where do you stand?
I said yes, but not as hard as I should. While I do train hard, it's not really Sasuke-oriented. I spend a lot more time strength training and running than I do practicing obstacles and whatnot.

Not for Sasuke, although it's an inspiration.

Health and fun.

Oh. I see.
I don't think I would train if it weren't for something. I want a way to express it, like Sasuke for example.
And tricking. I likes to trick.

Yes. I do a lot of rock climbing to build grip, gym training occasionally to build strength/endurance, and of course you guys know my Salmon Ladder/Pipe Slider/Devils Steps/Globe Grasp/Cliffhanger.
-EDIT-
Oh! Also forgot about the Parkour (Rain and Work have been making it difficult lately though), and the Flip/tricking I've been learning for a more interesting video.

When will this next video be released? I want to see you climb the Salmon Ladder.

I train to keep myself in shape, not really for Sasuke, mainly b/c i kno i'll never get a shot at the real course unless i move to Japan. I won't be able to enter (ANC) until like 32 of something like that and even so, it's not like i free-run so i doubt i'll ever get a chance. That doesn't mean i don't train for specific obstacles and make up my own courses or what not, I'm just taking the realistic viewpoint knowing if i got a shot it would be like 0.1%. I guess i should put myself in the I don't train as hard as i should category, i stay fit so if i had a chance at Sasuke i could do decent, but like i've already said, i won't ever get on the show .

Also forgot about the Parkour (Rain and Work have been making it difficult lately though), and the Flip/tricking I've been learning for a more interesting video. I started rock wall climbing at the local gym and there's been a noticeable difference in my grip strength. I was plateauing for a while with just weightlifting, but climbing has helped considerably. I've even been climbing rope too for more arm strength. The rope is quite elastic and smaller than the rope used in the Final Stage for Sasuke. I just wish I had a yard to build myself a Salmon Ladder, that and the Cliffhanger are what I need to work on the most.

How small is your yard? Surely a Salmon Ladder will fit.

How small is your yard? Surely a Salmon Ladder will fit. I rent an apartment. And we're surrounded by a golf course. So aside from possibly getting tagged by some golfer, there's no where to build one. But muscle-ups seem to be the best way to practice for the Salmon Ladder now. Until I can figure out where to build a Salmon Ladder.

The apartment thing does seem to ruin it. I assume you're not allowed to build in it the yard?
I disagree with muscle-ups being the best way to practice the Salmon Ladder. Over half of the movement is totally irrelevant. Simple pull-ups would be better. Explosive ones would work too.

I train, but not as hard as I should. I do in a sense train for Sasuke, but I do train for other things. I'm more of a cross country runner and so I do a lot of running. My brother and I try to around and practice jumping over things or whatever as we run to help with "obstacles" but not too much.
I do want to start training more sasuke oriented.

I agree once you get your sternum to the bar the rest of the muscle-up is irrelevant for the Salmon Ladder but at least I can get some explosiveness from the start of the movement. So that's why I do muscle ups.

But you can do explosive pull-ups. And the explosive part doesn't really make a difference, anyway.
On top of that, your Salmon Ladder technique probably isn't going to be simple pull-ups, so all the pull-ups are for is strength and endurance, something that is gained through slower reps.

What do you think would be a good obstacle to make first?
