I got thrown for a loop when I saw "Florida Man", with all of those memes around that term. Glad he's behind bars for another 6 years + other punishments yet to come.

Yeah there's still so much we don't know. We don't know if they will delete the almost 4 years he's been in jail (as opposed to prison), and what other jurisdictions will add to his time, where he will be serving the Federal time, etc.

The Inquirer article talks about stuff Drew did with other victims, and good god. That is horrifying, and I only hope that he is punished more for his other crimes. What a disgusting human being.

The articles don't even list all the disgusting aspects as how he behaved to the first victim.

It's just so sad and I fear that there are even more victims as he traveled a lot and was well liked as a ninja. I'm happy he had to register as a sex offender and will be in jail for a significant amount of time.

As best we can, I'm hoping to keep April and their now 4 year old out of the spotlight. The trial wasn't about them so I'd like to keep it that way if we could. Trust me, our hearts go out to them, especially their son. If the sentence holds, he won't see his biological father until he's in High school.

If April decides to do a public statement then that's fine but if she's opting to stay private, I'd like to honor that. There's so many victims involved right now that I don't want to add more kids as collateral damage.

Btw sometime soon we'll get the notification when he's moved to Michigan to serve out his sentence. Right now we don't know if the new mugshot will be available to the public. Federal inmates have different privacy laws in place and mugshots are one of them.

I must be totally missing something. Why is he going to Michigan to serve out his sentence?

It was part of the sentencing guidelines. Since this is a federal crime, that means any and all states. Presumably it has to do with space for general population. Remember that he is going from jail to prison. The listed location he was going to was MCI Milan which is in Michigan.

2. His release date from Federal Prison is March 7th, 2029. Looks like he got the 4 years served before the date of his sentencing as credit and won't have to serve the entire 10 years. No word on state charges, and haven't heard anything about them since 2020. Part of me thinks they were dropped, but hopefully not

Ugh that transcript is worse than the Philadelphia Inquirer article. So definitely Trigger warning.

Thanks for getting it. Knowing what happened in the courtroom and hearing directly from the victims is horrifying. It's sad to know how many supporters he still has after hearing what a monster he really is.

While disappointing, not unexpected given the mental state of Victim #1. This is a rough process.

10 years is simply not enough. Nowhere near enough. What he did was just...inhumane. Should've been 30 to life
